Ate on a weeknight @ 5pm. Small but cozy place. Many items to choose from with nightly specials. Food was good, portions were somewhat smaller than most places but adequate, and service was great. Not many people due to bad weather, perhaps, so we sat around and socialized with waitresses encouragement. Prices were fair. Not a fancy place, more of... More

My hb and I go to Erie quite a bit but decided to try somewhere new. We went for an early dinner. Restaurant is smaller than it looks from the outside. Our service was very good. Hb had the steak sandwich and I had the perch sandwich. Both were good but nothing special. Portions were normal, nothing special. The prime... More

We stopped here as we were headed back to our hotel from Cleveland and met up with some friends. I ordered the prime rib (Blackened) and well done. It arrived at the table medium well, but I decided to eat it anyway. It was a very large piece of meat and was very nicely prepared. The blackening rub they used... More

We were disappointed with our meal as much as I don't want to say it. The Pittsburgh Inn is owned by locals and supports our military everyday. I ordered the elk burger which was in my view uneatable. It was dry, overlooked with no flavor whatsoever. The other person ordered liver and onions and we took 1/2 of it home... More

I am so sorry to hear that you were disappointed! The elk burger has been so popular we just added to the new menu, you are seriously the first person that has not liked it.Just wondering if you relayed this to your server, she would have gotten you something else.We take great pride in everything we serve and bringing our patrons... Well you do if you were born and raised in Erie. It's cubed pieces of pork on a stick. This was the Tuesday night special. Brought back great memories of when my mom used to make it. Thanks Pittsburgh Inn! You are one of a kind.

Loved the history and atmosphere. Great coffee, but took a long time to get our food - a long time! Breakfast was good, when it finally arrived.

Pirates/Penguins/Steelers fans get it. Tons of art, photos & memories. Menu is what I'd expect of this diner style establishment. Average food, but we keep returning annually as fans of "Black & Gold". Fans of other cities: BEWARE

We went here for Valentine's Day and were NOT disappointed. The food was fresh, hot and plentiful in portion sizes. The waitress stayed on top of our needs and checked with us often. The prices are excellent. Portion size for dessert is small, but will do.

Letting all you know they had their first breakfast from 8am til Noon 2/28/16. It was a big hit. Food was great and the place was packed. Great start for new adventure for the owners. Hats off to Robin and Tom for taking a chance to expand their business.
