Had a family lunch here on St. Pat's Day. Food (sandwiches) were satisfactory as to taste but temp of food was cold. Waiter never bothered to come check so we were left eating barely warm sandwiches. Never took a drink order until we had already been sitting for 15 minutes...did offer water upon seating. Service was poor and very slooooow!... More

Have had dinner here twice. Lovely 18th century tavern setting. Feels like you've stepped back 200 years. Competitive menu and much nicer dining atmosphere than Willoughby Run in Gettysburg, which is a combo restaurant and (mostly) banquet facility. Prompt seating with reservatons. Very good service. Servers are motivated, young, and very good, but not always expert. Food is wonderfully prepared... More

Nice place with charm. Good service. Menu for lunch was hit and miss. Potato crisp appetizer was excellent. Fresh dip sandwich was just plain bizarre. Almost like a grilled cheese and overpowered by the roasted red peppers. Chicken Caesar salad was just average.

My husband and I made reservations for dinner at Sidney Tavern last night. We like to try "out of the way" places and neither one of us have been to East Berlin, although we live in York. This place was amazing! It wasn't difficult to find at all. The restaurant is located in an older home, I believe, and is... More

Went to Sydney with high hopes. They have a sattelite location in Gettysburg that is excellent. It took 30 minutes to get two cocktails and they were both subpar. They insisted the drinks were made identical to Sydneys and willoby run. Not even close. We were not given menus u til we finally got our drinks. It took 25 minutes... More

I've been to Sidney many times in the past and it never disappoints! It's such a great atmosphere and very quaint being in the small town of East Berlin and in an older farmhouse. It's a "casual fine dining" establishment and you will notice a mix of people's attire in there. Nothing too pretentious and I don't think they would... More

My wife took me to Sidney's for my birthday. The restaurant is located in an old tavern house at the intersection of Rt 234 and 194 in the small town of East Berlin. We had reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. The meal was wonderful from appetizer to main course to dessert. The preparation of the food... More

On the strong recommendation of trusted friends, we made the trek to Sidney from Harrisburg... It was worth the drive... Reservations were a must this Friday night and we asked for and were seated in the tavern... The interior with exposed old timber beams is welcoming... The food was very good... One of us had the warm beet salad and... More

We had a good meal, quiche, pasta special and Chicken Caesar but it takes a long time for the food to come. It is nice for a small town but not great.

Our friend brought us to Sidney while we were in town on business. We ate in the pub area, which has a different menu than the dining room. We had the homemade potato crips, drizzled with a lemon aioli and a chopped salad. Both were very good and the wait staff was friendly. They have a nice wine list. The... More
