Some of the beers that were offered were very good, others were not so. Had an appetizer and a hamburger that was really good. It was a bit noisy because of the high ceilings.

Pretty typical craft beer restaurant bar. Thought they had many more items on menu but very limited. However the crab cake sandwich was excellent and the Rebel red ale pretty good also.

Meeting friends for the open mic night. Music was wonderfully entertaining. Beer was very good....so long as your a "hop-head". Meaning, in my opinion, every style is loaded with hops....even if the style does not require it. Menu has changed lately, gotten smaller, removing some of the local favorites. My Wife was disappointed that her go-to Salad was gone....she ordered... More

Th craft beers are varied so any one could find one they like. The food is generally good bar food. The noise is a barrier to conversation. The bands are good but that adds to the noise if you want to talk to your companions

It's OK if u go there just for the beer. The selection of their beer is pretty good. However, the menu has gotten smaller again and I , personally, and the party of 5 with me, was disappointed with the selection. Some recipes seemed to have been tweaked too.

This is our go-to restaurant for celebrating pretty much anything...birthdays, anniversaries, making it through another work week without killing anyone, etc. I'm not a beer drinker, but I love their hand forged sodas. My husband loves their beer. They have the best beer cheese, and it's house made, not something purchased and dished out of a huge vat. We can't... More

I rated it very good because its better than just average. Parking is tough, its in middle of block on Mill St. The craft beers are good, but pricey. We had crab dip which was v light on the crab. I had the crab cake sandwich which had a little more crab in it. Friend had a pork sandwich which... More

Every time we visit we get exactly what we ask for. Great brews, nice veggie options and the bonus of tasteful live music occasionally.

The menu is varied. The burgers are great. The beef and some other ingredients are locally sourced. Portions are large and well presented. Most things come with a side of tortilla chips and warm beer cheese. Yum. I'm not much of a beer drinker but I always have one of their artisan beers when I go there. There is always... More

Description
Old Forge Brewing Company is a fun, casual, comfortable brewpub specializing in healthy pub fare and fresh brewed beer. Our country was built on the skills and labor of old-world artisanal craftsmen. Woodworkers, carpenters, stonemasons, ironworkers, blacksmiths, tileworkers, and many others came here and employed the knowledge and skills of their craft in building their farms, homes, and towns.Nowadays, it is so easy and convenient to purchase generic products from big-box stores, that we sometimes neglect to appreciate the uniqueness and quality of a hand-crafted product. At Old Forge Brewing Company, we strive to honor personal craftsmanship. Our hand-crafted beer is made in small batches to ensure quality and peak freshness, while the healthy and delicious menu has ingredients sourced from local farms and markets wherever possible. Take the time to notice our bar, furniture, and fixtures which were all handcrafted by local wood and metal worker Keith Kocher (Lightstreet Custom Woodworking). Check out our unique tap handles carved and forged by local artist/sculptor J. Mark Irwin (Irwin Sculpture Studio), and our plates, bowls, and beer mugs, all hand-made by local potter Mike Hart (M. Hart Pottery). We welcome you to stop by and visit us on Mill Street in downtown Danville. Have a bite to eat, sip a fresh pint of beer, and enjoy the friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Leave your troubles on the doorstep and let us take care of the rest.
