We stopped here for dinner on 12/29. Their website said that the steaks were so tasteful that no sauce was required. They were correct. The staging of the meal was perfect. The warm bread and the appetizer plate lessoned the wait, while the sorbet cleaned the pallet before the main course. They were correct, the steaks require no sauce. It... More

Just experienced terrific dining at Brookville's Gold Eagle Restaurant. Four different entrees and four very satisfied diners. Could not have been better. Kudos to the new chef! Portion sizes are appropriate and the traditional relish tray and sorbet after the first course are still offered. And, of course, the ambiance of this restaurant is one of the best in the... More

The decor was very rustic, but nice. Table linens always add a touch of class. I agree that the salads were a little small, but tasty. The wait for our meal was a little longer than normal, but we were in no particular hurry. The warm mini loaf of bread was very good and our dinners were good. The sweet... More

We had a great dinner and enjoyed delicious specialty food. We started with the bratwurst balls that were brats and cheese deep fried with thousand island dressing. I had the rabbit dinner and my husband had fried pork chops. Everything was served in generous portions. It was nice to have a glass of wine in a real red wine glass... More

Went here for a special event and came away dissatisfied. Salad was small and pedestrian. Potato side was bland and the prime rib was stringy, tough to cut and full of gristle. I have never experienced prime rib this disgusting. Will not return.

My husband and I have been driving past this place for about 25 years every time we visited family. Never stopped in until today! Great discovery after all this time. Menu on TripAdvisor did not match the current menu. We were disappointed at first because both of our choices had been removed from the menu. But both entrees that we... More

This was one of the suggestions for a good place to eat by the lady at Blackbird Distillery. We were pleasantly greeted, asked if we had a reservation and when we said no were told not a problem and quickly seated. Our waitress was super and explained some of the items on the menu and gave us time to look... More
