On the road on Valentine's Day, so we made a slight detour and had our fingers crossed they could fit us in. The downstairs dining room was fully booked for the holiday, but there was space upstairs. Sometimes, places that are famous tend to coast on their reputations, but this historic tavern wants to make sure that customers are satisfied... More

This is a popular place to stop off RT 30 in Pennsylvania. If you are traveling the turnpike, you will need to get off and drive a little out of your way. Not far. The inn really is very old , George Washington stopped here on his way back from Western PA. The dining room smells old, with it's low... More

Menu is same, the spices/sauce change. Passing by it is a nice stop, not to miss it. Older building with a little gift shop outside, makes for an interesting lunch or dinner. Friendly staff.

We have been to Jean Bonnet Tavern many times. Our favorite place to dine in is the basement of the old tavern especially when the fire place is in use. The food is good but the atmosphere is even better.

Going here and sitting in the tavern by the roaring fire is worth the visit. But to top it off - the food is great - solid selection of tavern favorites - from soups to sandwiches

We enjoyed a delicious dinner last Monday night. The restaurant was not crowded but the Tavern was full. Service was friendly and attentive. The crab cakes were moist, flavorful and full of crab. The prime rib was also a good choice. A roaring fire made for a cozy atmosphere on a cold night. The peanut butter pie is a great... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at the Jean Bonnet. From check in to housekeeping the staff is very friendly. We stayed in room number two which has a gas fireplace, it was so warm and inviting. The room is decorated with period pieces and not much clutter, just as it would have been years ago. The rooms are on... More

You gave to try the scotch eggs. Excellent! You get two eggs cut in half with a delicious mustard dipping sauce. The sausage on the eggs is local. Great beer selections!

My wife and I try to get away after the holidays. Our favorite spot is Bedford Springs. On our trip this January we were excited about visiting the Jean Bonnet Tavern. As a retired history educator I am very familiar with the historical significance and history of the Tavern. My wife was also interested in seeing if she could witness... More
