We were a party of 6 and our table wasn't quite ready when we arrived so we headed to the upper level to get a drink at the bar. Our server had a great personality and really made the experience memorable. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the crab cakes and they were excellent. We all wanted dessert but were... More

An incredible atmosphere. This tavern has kept its original charm. The food is excellent. A must stop on your Bedford or Route 30 travels.

Great restaurant! The food is awesome and the price is very reasonable. If you add anywhere near this restaurant or just want to take a day trip it is well worth stopping. The decor and history are interesting but neither can top the food!

Wonderful lunch experience. The food was very good, the ambience was very nice and the staff were extremely friendly. Our party of 4 had the burger, french dip, Turkey club croissant and the strawberry chicken salad. Would definitely return.

What a wonderful place to stop for a meal. We saw the tavern off of the highway on the way to Pittsburgh and thought it looked good. As we were traveling back towards Harrisburg, we were passing by near supper time so we decided to give it a try. What a wonderful dining experience. We enjoyed the ambiance of a... More

Having seen the Jean Bonnet Tavern & Inn from the turnpike for years, we finally stopped here for lunch while in the area. What an interesting place -- historic and haunted! We didn't see any spirits (other than the liquid type) but we both had bison burgers which were really delicious.

We arranged ahead of time to bring 17 here for lunch after a visit to the Museum of the National Coverlet in Bedford. The restaurant offered us a private room and a three course meal (soup, sandwich, dessert) with beverages for a fixed price. This made the meal easy for a large group. The food was delicious (we left with... More

It was worth the visit to this historical site. However, the food and service as just OK. Prices were reasonable, My husband and I both had pan seared diver scallops with pesto over orzo. They were swimming in too much oil and not worth the price. Service was spotty and think it is a one and done for us. We... More

My husband and I finally stopped here for dinner after years of seeing it from the turnpike. The food was pretty good. Service was nothing special, but the history of the building and the area makes this a must stop! I would recommend this to friends and family.
