We waited 1.5 hours for lunch.. I think the cook was drunk. The food was horrible. None of the plates were correct they all had the wrong sides. Do not stop here!! We will never stop here again. Very sad.

Great prime rib on Saturday night! The place was definitely a local hangout and everyone was very friendly. They had a good selection of bottled beers and the atmosphere was great.
And the house-made potato chips and French fries were every bit as good as the locals said they were. Super friendly staff.
There was a little bit of the atmosphere of "Deliverance" in the restaurant and the attached Goose Pit Saloon, but the service was fine (we were the only diners there at 7:30 PM). As said in the title of this review, the food was OK....More
We've been to the Goose Pit many times. The service and food are always great. Our favorites are the Gooney Burger (burger w/bleu cheese & bacon) and the Pub Steak. And you have to have the homemade potato chips!
