Food is good and reasonably priced. I had a great Sangria up there once. If you aren't packing your own snacks or picnic, you can't go wrong with the Summit Grill.

You might not say it's the best restaurant, but it's very good, not to mention the only place to eat and drink atop Mt. Howard. After doing all the hikes and with perfect sunny weather, there is no better place to grab lunch than the Summit Grill. Enjoy!

After a walk around the summit we had a beer and looked at the wonderful scenery. Love the spot! We stop in every year!

Service was good, food coming out of kitchen was slow. Not sure if under staffed or what for the holiday weekend.

After walking the trails and viewing the overwhelming beauty of the Wallowa Mountains and the surrounding valley areas on top of Mt Howard, we sat and rested with a delicious lunch with a view that couldn't be beat! The service is a little slow, but the meal was good and what a place to remember eating a meal!!!

Only tried the cobbler after the ride to the summit on the tram. Other offerings were slightly limited but the cobbler is great. The folks running the little place are great.

This was a nice place for lunch after hiking around the summit for a couple of hours. The food is standard fare and it's done well. I had the BLT which was really good and reasonably priced. The bread was a soft ciabatta and the bacon was cooked crispy good. The potato salad was a little 'gloppy' for my liking... More

Great pulled pork sandwich and warm drinks were life savers since it was very cold and windy. Great service and a wonderful experience.

Tried to eat lunch at the Summit Grill but the service was so awful that after 20 minutes of being completely ignored we finally left! We were not given menus, drinks or even an acknowledgement. We finally flagged down a waiter to ask for service and all he replied was that he didn't think he was our server. The restaurant... More

Located around 8,000 feet, this is a must do. An overly priced tram ride is required to get up there, but you quickly forget it when to see the views. I was surprised with the variety of menu items available. The Clam Chowder comes from Ivars of Seattle. Local beer is also available.
