We had to wait for about 1 hour, but when we got to our table we somehow were overlooked, and brought this to the servers attention. We were taken care of right a way, and comped our drinks, and 9.00 credit (receipt said waited to long for service.) Even though we had to wait the food was worth it, and... More

We went here before a concert at the Wonder Ballroom right next door. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table (sat at 7:15). Part of it may have been a concert crowd, but there were obviously a lot of locals who weren't going to the concert who were eating here, which is a good sign. The drinks... More

Always a wonderful experience! We usually get there at 5pm when they open (and there's a line...always), but my fiance and I have always been very lucky to get right in and sit at the Chef's table. Great atmosphere and it's fun to watch the chef's prepare the feasts. The food is top notch and yes, they are small plates,... More

My wife and I went in at 9pm on Friday night. The bar is not open seating so we gave her our phone number and went to the bar next door. The hostess said it would be about an hour. And hour an hour and 15 minutes later, we haven't had a call and we go back to find three... More

Probably one of my favorites whenever I visit Portland, so good, so fresh, great staff. Love sitting at the bar - great experience.

I loved the food but after spending $50 on two people (not including drinks) I was still hungry. I understand the meaning of "tapas" but I thought the portions were about half of what comparable places normally give.

I've lived in Portland for 2 months now and have returned 3 times to Toro Bravo. I will warn you that if you do not go within the first open hour then you will be waiting on a very long line. If you drink then it's not a problem because there is a funky little pub upstairs from the restaurant... More

We went to dinner at 6:00 on a Sunday. We had to wait an hour and it was well worth it. We ordered four tapas plates and a paella. All were delicious and more than adequate. The atmosphere is quite loud (we were lucky enough to sit in a small side room with three tables which was quite manageable noise... More

My friend and I ordered several plates to get a broad overview of the menu offerings - spanish tortilla, octopus tapa, and scallops entree, and a pork dish. We sat at the bar and received exemplary service. I can't wait to go back! And, the upstairs lounge happened to have an old-time country swing band. It was pure family fun!

Wonderful menu, wonderful service, wonderful food next to the Wonder Ballroom! You need to not be in a hurry to eat here. Try several tapas and just eat and enjoy
