On the river, beautiful views, great folks, decent food. The ambiance is the scene stealer. Foid, so so. But great service. Wonderful on a summer day. Good bar, fun outdoor seating, and in the pier.

The Island Cafe is a really fun place for lunch, and I assume for dinner also! We live not far away and have been there three or four times in the last few years. We were there today, Aug 15, 2017, and the weather was...More

The food is pretty good, tropical drinks are excellent, and the location is fabulous. Right on the Columbia River, the deck moves with the waves, and kayakers paddle past. Really a fun place to go on a nice day.
A Saturday lunch & we just beat the lunch rush at 11:15-ish. Drinks were sizeable & potent. Match their prices. Appetizers generous. From teriyaki bowls to lobster wraps - all yummy. Fast service. A good experience. Will certainly find out way there again.

The floor of the restaurant deck bobbed softly as boats went by. The view is outstanding right next to the water. The service is very prompt and very friendly. Our server thanked us for spending part of our afternoon with her. Following a Mediterranean Diet,...More
This was just gonna be a coffee run for us but we had a snack too. Not expecting anything, we struggled to find it at first but a sandwich board caught my eye so we parked on the street and walked through the car park...More
Another meal in Portland, another queue to eat. For me, it was like being in London again. For our final evening in the city, we were being taken to the Island Café; a place that our friend had been talking about all weekend, seemingly revered...More
