We were visiting Portland for a few days and this place was recommended so we popped in for lunch and sat in the bar. It's a beautiful old bar with great atmosphere and the soup and sandwich were delicious. We returned our last evening in town for dinner. We hadn't made reservations but again we're able to get a table... More

I stopped here for dinner to try to find some crawfish. It's hard to find good crawfish in Colorado. The crawfish etoufee was great and plentiful, with lots of the tasty morsels, and they were not puny like the ones we get in Colorado. It came in its own small kettle - nice touch. Classy waiter and atmosphere.

Atmosphere and service was fine, mussels were small and just ok, etoufee was more like a stew than a true etoufee. Hamburgers and calamari appeared to be a better bet.

When we lived in Oregon, this was a favorite, but we appreciate it more now that we don't get fresh seafood on a regular basis. The stuffed halibut and salmon are to die for. The chowder is a must have. Don't forget to save room for Marion berry cobbler with ice cream! Detailed attention to service. The entire experience was... More

We have heard and read so much about this place we were so glad we got the chance to finally enjoy this place. We aimed for an early dinner and were lucky to land booth seating,.. major plus when you have young kids. We had the calamari and it was prepared perfect..... if I had my way we would have... More

If you're looking for something that takes you back a few years and a Portland institution, this is your place. Although the fish is obviously very fresh and top of the line, the menu is a little dull. The crab salad took me back to the 70s. Just crab, served extremely chilled, which dulls the flavor, with an olive and... More

Never disappoints-- the menu is extensive and has something for all seafood lovers. I had the crab special and while it was price-y it was worth it. The service is formal and old fashion, but the place has a lovely vibe to match the food. Highly recommended

This restaurant is historic and has really good food. I ordered the steak and it was fine. The salmon tasted good. The berry cobbler was VERY good.

I love this place. It is a Portland classic. I have been going here since I was a kid. It has changed a bit over the years with ownership, but still remains very good. Delicious fresh food, professional servers and tenders, in a historic bar/restaurant where all are welcome in a casual environment.
