Seres Restaurant, formally Sungari Pearl is located in the Pearl District and has been serving the greater Portland area since 2003. Seres Restaurant features a modern Chinese menu with emphasis on purity. In addition to using organic produce whenever possible, Seres' dishes feature local ingredients such as Oregon's Painted Hills Natural Beef, local produce and beancurd from Portland's own OTA Tofu Company. No MSG or artificial additives are added to our dishes. Essentially, you will still find every traditional long-loved Chinese food like fried rice, potstickers or Kung Pao chicken at Seres, however with a lightness and purity that are not only delicious but important.

Upon entering and waiting for several minutes, the waitress came up and told us we couldn't have the dog - my husband explained that she was a service dog and showed her the very prominate service vest on the dog. She said she still couldn't...More

It is somewhat surprising that this very good restaurant had so many open tables. Possibly because it was in the middle of the week, possibly that the number of tables is high. It is in a good location in the Pearl District, where there are...More

Very nice good service. Cloth napkins, soft music. Good place for a quiet date night meal. Ordered chicken and broccoli and Buddha vegetable dish and both filled with to much broccoli.

This is a great restaurant for lunch or dinner. I love the Szechuan beef over brown rice. Great cocktail menu for a Chinese restaurant. I've never had a bad meal here.

We walked in on a Sunday evening without reservations and they were able to find us a table for 6 fairly quickly. The service was gracious and food delicious as always. The flavors are muted and subtle, not extremely sweet or extremely salty as one...More

Tuesday nights are not busy here at this restaurant in the Pearl District. They had ample tables available. Service was good and the food was great. They seem to do a lot of take-out orders to local residents, keeping the kitchen staff busy. Their full...More

lukewarm food and service. Odd smell in restaurant when we arrived, not pleasant. our soup and entrees were only warm, the moo shu pancakes were tough, the service was spotty. Obviously much better choices in Portland, we won’t return
