We enjoy our annual dinner at Papa Haydn’s immensely. It’s quite a drive for us so we go just once a year but it is wonderful. The food is great but the desserts are OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Delightful atmosphere. Delicious food. Elegant presentation. The lamb and croque mossieur were the most popular dishes ordered in our group. We saved dessert for another trip, but our mouths watered as we viewed the dessert case on the way out.
Nice restaurant in a fun, vibrant area of Portland. We would both rate our meals 4.5, but I'm giving them a 4 since service (or the kitchen) were slow and they weren't even that busy since it was midafternoon. It wouldn't stop me from going...More

I have been to Papa Haydn's and to the adjoining Jobar on several occasions. Every experience was excellent. The food is amazing, and the desserts are incredible. Jobar has excellent live jazz on certain nights. This is my favorite spot in Portland. If you're on...More

I arranged my lunch meeting at Papa Haydn because of the service, food and of course the selection of desserts! We had a minor issue with our server (no bread and butter, cold coffee and no show for our dessert), which forced me to talk...More
The restaurant is located in a quaint section of Portland close to the Japanese Gardens. Food was outstanding and the selection of main course is complemented with a wonderful selection of deserts.
We stopped for two plates of pasta : very rich cheese pasta with crisped prosciutto, and linguine with clams, cherry tomato, fresh spinach and an olive tapenade toast. Even the super rich pasta was a huge hit and the linguine was just about the best...More
