During our weekend trip to Portland, we visited the restaurant twice. With it's historic feel and sense of tradition, it was in pleasant contrast to some of the other restaurants that we visited. The restaurant has a large menu which has everything from steaks to...More

We had planned to eat at another (very) nearby restaurant which unfortunately had a line round the corner and a 2 hour wait for a table, no such problem here, which did set off the internal alarm. In short service was curt, food was very,...More

Thank you for dining with us two days ago. We are Portland's oldest restaurant and we have so we are kind of tied to tradition. The beauty of God's creation is he made each one of us different with different palates. Our regular customers would...More

The reason to go here is the Spanish Coffee. The entire process of assembling the coffee and the flair of the waiters makes it worthwhile. The appetizers are very reasonable at $3.50 per dish, and the beer selection is great. A must do once event.

Called in after dinner during mid week. Pleasantly surprised how quiet it was(we've been before and had to wait for a table). Sat at the bar and had the signature coffee. Truly Portland experience.

A friend recommended Huber's, and we are so glad he did. Our family group said it was our favorite meal while were on vacation. We had the turkey--their signature dish--and ham dinners. The food was excellent! The turkey and dressing was perfect comfort food. We...More

Touted as the oldest restaurant in Portland, this old-fashioned establishment served up the best caesar salad I've ever had and terrific mussels. It was around the corner from our hotel, so very convenient, and no line, like a neighboring establishment we wanted to try.

Huber's has been in business since 1879, so I guess regardless what is written would not deter it's obvious longevity and success. I ordered the special Turkey & Baked Ham combo with sage dressing, cranberry sauce, and steamed vegetables. The food is like those old...More

Claiming to be Portland's oldest restaurant, Huber must be at least close with its building dating from the 1870's. The back room is essentially original with electricity added. A few gas fittings are visible in the booths. The ceiling is paneled stained glass. The bar...More

Best Spanish coffee, hands down! The kind of establishment that carries a rich history, retains the decorum of old school hospitality. Our first time there was New Year's Eve. We were around downtown and just really want to be with a crowd for some good...More

My wife had the 3 course dinner. Roast turkey, cole slaw, pumpkin pie. It was great -- definitely a must. I had the chicken picatta, which was also very good - a great lemon beurre blanc with caper sauce. Molly, our server, was helpful and...More

Yes they do have a family dining room when you enter the restaurant and children are welcome. They also have a children menu, meal choices are limited.
