My wife & I went here several days ago because we have been dying to go. We went for lunch & some drinks because we had already made dinner plans. We ordered 12 fresh oysters, 2 glasses of fancy French champagne, the bone marrow dish & curried mussels with thin potato fries. EVERYTHING was super super good. The oysters were... More

I have enjoyed this restaurant over a dozen times for lunches and dinners. This is my favourite restaurant in Portland for a few reasons: First the service is impeccable and on the West Coast that's more rare than people realize. it's a relaxed atmosphere and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menu including extensive wine list.... Initially, I had no interest in dining here. The name is too childish, the menu appeared boring, and its big brother Le Pigeon has communal dining, something akin to having your wisdom teeth pulled. If I want to sit at a wooden table watching 12 strangers chew on their food, I'll move to Moldova. However, the Little Bird, it pains... More

Had an early dinner with friends before a concert. We were tight on time and our server responded with suggestions that would help us enjoy ourselves and still have plenty of time to make our concert. Wonderful place, intimate yet casual. A bistro just as in France. Cooking to match, all of our entrees -- two fish, one marvelous brie... More

Little Bird nests in the center of downtown Portland. It is a fine example of a French bistro -- a bit matter-of-fact, a bit plain in décor, not terribly expensive, and excellent tastes.

The previous reviews encouraged us to book at Little Bird, and we are pleased to confirm their good experience. The foie gras torchon was outstanding - more than enough for two to share, with a lovely presentation. The wine choices were fairly priced, and the service excellent.

I've been here twice now, both times on work trips. I have greatly enjoyed everything I've ordered: best charcuterie plate hands down, the burger was upsettingly good, their negronis are high caliber, and their chocolate mousse dessert (recommended by my server) was memorable even if you are "not a dessert person." Service is professional but not uppity, and the vibe... More

This restaurant came well-reviewed and it did not disappoint. The staff was very helpful and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very cozy on a cold evening. The next time I am in Portland,it will be #1 on my list of where to have dinner.

Very interesting menu, knowledgeable staff, enjoyable dinner in downtown location. We got there early and was seated in the balcony & watched the place fill up below, nice show. Food was different, loved it.

After a day of traveling I was seeking a relaxed, quality meal that was located not far from Powell's bookstore, and open a but later than 9 since my flight was delayed. Found this place online & reserved on open table - the sign outside was really small hard to see my Uber & I almost missed it- Got a... More
