We were there during Roundup, so I'm willing to cut them some of slack. But... the cocktails were maybe a third of a normal portion & served in plastic cups, & the prime rib was the worst I've ever had. It looked like a rib...eye cut, was grilled and it was tough & chewy. I ordered it medium rare & it was medium to well done. Dinner was definitely not worth the hefty price we paid. The service was slow, but our server was very friendly & nice.More

Great decor and atmosphere. The Filet was perfect and melted in your mouth! Enjoyed the sides too. Crème Brûlée came flaming for my Birthday. Excellent service!! We went early midweek.

We had a nice meal for my birthday at Virgil's at Cimmiyotti's on Saturday Night. The cocktails quenched my thirst. The Blue Cheese Dip was omg-yum. They were a little overwhelmed with every seat in the house full so my steak wasn't perfect but I'd...return.More

I had really high hopes for a special meal at a "pricey" place as a treat on our 38th anniversary. The decor was a fun surprise when we arrived with it's 50's red velour vibe. But the food disappointed. Our bacon wrapped dates were burned...to a crisp, they ran out of baked potatoes (Thursday night 7PM) and the rice pilaf substitute was a glob of flavorless sticky rice, and lastly my husband's steak was overcooked (even after double checking with the server about the chef's usual prep). The only saving grace was that our server comped us dessert when I complained about the rice. Won't be back.More

We had delicious filet mignon with baked potatoes and salad (me) and soup (spouse). The portions were huge but we ate every bite. Service was friendly and the women at the neighboring table (celebrating a birthday) played cribbage after dinner. (There are cribbage boards on...the tables!) The restaurant has a local feel, although we learned the next morning that everyone staying at the B&B ate at the same place.More

We met friends from the Tri-Cities here for a foursome and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We had a nice appetizer of bacon-wrapped dates and followed up with orders of Steak Oscar. Both our steaks were cooked perfectly to our preference. The dates were a little...small but had lots of flavor. The lighting and red-themed old west interior really added a lot of atmosphere to our experience. There was outside seating on the sidewalk available this evening but being that there was still a lot of smoke in the air from distant forest fires we opted for the indoor seating. Diane, our waitress, was attentive and appropriate with her service. One of our friends could give a "so-so" rating to her beef stroganoff. It did look a little ordinary. Made her wish she'd ordered a steak. Prices here have been described as "high" but I'll share that this probably is a relative concept because, being from the big city, there was nothing pricey about our filets (would have paid over $60 for this dish in a Seattle steakhouse). So for us it was great value. Definitely a "return to" place in the future.More

We missed out "eating in" due to Covid19, but the takeout was great! Wonderful steak, excellent caesar salad (I dream of this salad!), and a great family-owned business. Support them with your business.

This place is by far, my absolute favorite place to eat in Pendleton, hands down! The atmosphere is fabulous, the wallpaper has my heartland! The food is top notch, my favorite is the Virgil's Oscar. It is to die for. It is an upper scale...restaurant, so prepare to pay for it. But you will not be disappointed. The portions are filling and the gals at the bar make amazing drinks! Definitely a stop worth making!!More

My wife and I went to Virgils for our 28th Anniversary dinner. Boy am I glad! My wifes ribeye was to die for and my Portobello alfredo dish was as well. The salad was spectacular and the fresh hot bread kept coming! The family that...owns this place obviously gets it when it comes to great customer service! The ambience is out of the 1880's saloon era (I'm guessing) and very cool and charming. Not pretentious, just very pleasing. Our waitress, the daughter of the owner was as charming as can be. She hustled too! And she brought us Creme Brulee on the house for our anniversary! Thats what will keep us coming back. Thanks for a wonderful eventful night yall!More

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The decor made us feel like we were in the old west, but the food was certainly twenty-first century!

Pros: Seated quickly Friendly staff Fun, rustic interior The steak was very good Cons: We were sat at a tiny table that barely had room for our plates and beverages. My fiance had a pole next to his seat and his shoulder had to press...up against it the entire meal for fear of knocking over a server walking through the teeny walkway separating us and 4 people crammed into a table that didn’t seem to accommodate their orders. The appetizer bread and veggies were very skimpy. The “parmesan” mashed potatoes were just regular potatoes with store bought shredded parm piled on top. My 8$ margarita was MAYBE 3 ounces with no ice and large citrus fruit floating in it to make it appear like more. It was such a tiny glass. The seafood chowder had broke and was thin as water, but did taste pretty good. ....and finally, the vegetable side (which there was no choice for) was brussell sprouts. Usually I ADORE sprouts, but these were way over cooked and soggy from an overbearing amount of balsamic vinegar. The steak was the only reason I didn’t rate them a 1. We payed way too much for that. Will not recommend!More
