Service was friendly, but slow. Took a long time to get a beer and even longer for my food. I had the white chicken BBQ sandwich. It was not anything to boost about, but not bad. The menu is small. People at the bar were having fun, so maybe skip food and have a couple beers with friends and eat... More

Great place along waterfront to get drinks, watch a game with friends, eat some wonderful fresh fish. Made the mistake of ordering pizza which was less than good, but our friends raved about their fish and chips. Kale salad was very tasty. To their credit, the house did not charge us for the pizza, so would definitely return.

In my experience, Rouge is always sort of a wash. A good beer here, a bad beer there. I never really go out of my way for it, but if someone hands me a pint, I don't stick my nose up either (unless it's one of their weird novelty beers). This is first the Rogue restaurant/establishment I've been to, and... More

We were brought samples of Rogue Ales to our table of what was new and what might be of interest...friendly waiter! Both the Fish and Chips and the Patty Melt were wonderful!

Food was not hot nor as it was described. Expensive. Who serves pulled pork in a patty? It was tasteless. Fish was undercooked in halibut & chips. Food just not high quality.

An Oregon classic, with a distinctly Oregon feel. We had the Kobe burger and Mac & Cheese. So delicious. Accompanied by a great flight of beers. We'll be back!

This location was on our list of must visits on a recent trip to the Oregon Coast. I knew the beer would be fantastic, but the food and the service held up that high standard. Really the stand out of the visit was the service. The staff was engaging, and entertaining, as well as being very attentive. Absolutely no hesitation... More

This used to be one of my favorite casual restaurants in Newport, but not anymore. We had to wait a while to be seated, although there was no one in front of us. They have really scaled back their menu, removing many of my favorite dishes. The Kobe beef meatballs I settled on were horribly overcooked and dry and were... More

Stopped in for lunch after walking the area. They were packed, but we got quick seating in the bar. They also had a patio area, but it was full. Bartender was very helpful, even bringing us testers of beers we were unsure of. The food was very good, as was the beer selection.

My husband and I were driving through Newport on a recent road trip and stopped at Rogue for lunch. To drink we both had the Yellow Snow IPA on Nitro. This is one of our favorite beers that we can only get in bottles back home. We were very excited not only to get it on tap, but also on... More

Rogue Ales Public House, originally named the Bayfront Brewery, was established in May of 1989. Rogue brewed its Ales within the Bayfront Brewery until 1992, when "Howard", the 15 barrel brew system was carried across the Newport Bay to the current location. The old brewery was converted into a poolroom which the locals call the Crustacean Stacean. Outside seating and 35 taps
