We were traveling through Oregon and stopped here for lunch. Pretty much the only game in town but gave it a try based on reviews. It's a small cafe located on a corner with seating mostly inside but with a couple of picnic tables out back (nice if you have a dog). We had a BLT which was very good-... More

It's always a good sign when the parking lot is full so we stopped here on a motorcycle trip. The breakfasts were big, tasty and a great value. Service was fast and courteous. Our coffee cups were never less than half full. The food was very tasty. I'll definitely be back here whenever I am riding through the area. As... More

Went here for a classic car club dinner and meeting. The Spur opened again a few months back with one of the old staff and her husband running the place. He has steak-house experience - cuts the meat fresh each day. We just wanted a small plate, so both tried the 5 oz. tri-tip dinner. Everything was well-prepared, and the... More

We're glad we stopped for lunch at the Silver Spur on an impulse last week, en route home to Boise from the Oregon Coast. The menu is great, standard diner favorites, including home made pie and cake. The food is NOT standard, it is exceptionally good quality, better-than-average bread for the sandwiches, milkshakes with hand-dipped hard ice cream. The breakfast... More

we stopped here for lunch after visiting the John Day Fossil beds. This is a relaxing cafe, simple, clean, comfort foods - salads, sandwiches, burgers, shakes. Variety of people from locals to bike riders to tourists passing through. They'll make you feel comfortable and the food is good.

Great little joint where Hwy 395 S meets Hwy 26 N. Stopped in for a bite to eat as we passed through. Only ordered a couple bacon cheeseburgers off the regular 'cafe style menu' but YUM! Big juicy 1/2 lb burgers w/generous portion of tots and onion rings (for the hubby). Great dine-in atmosphere. Although 100+ miles away, they take... More

I knew it was a good place and I couldn't find parking. Plus there was a restored 1951 Ford driven by one patron so our 1948 Studebaker fit right in Friendly and knowledgable waitress. Got the chicken fried steak and they cooked it on the grill rather than deep frying it which is always a good sign. Too much food... More

I stopped in at the Silver Spur on my way from Dayville to Pendleton. The special was a prime rib wrap which they prepared to order for eating on the road. I wish now I had stayed in long enough to really savor it although it was delicious even while balancing it while driving. They added a cup of potato... More

Stopped by for a late lunch in the middle of February while scouting out hunting units in Grant County. The winter hours sign said they closed at 2pm. We were there at 1:55pm. Dale, the owner, said 'No problem! Come on in' Not only did we have an excellent lunch of burgers, soup, salad and fries, we had a great... More
