My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary this week by having dinner at Bistro Maison. Everything about our experience was Excellent! The tables are spaced further apart for covid precautions. Masks were worn by staff and guests until they were seated. Our waitress, Carise, was top notch. The ambience was delightful. The food was superb! We had the bacon wrapped dates for an appetizer which were delicious and well presented. We shared the salad with bacon and egg which was probably the best salad we've ever had! We shared the pork chop dinner which was tender, moist and scrumptious. For dessert we had the lemon bars with lemon sorbet - the best ever! We will definitely return.

My girlfriend and I decided to dine here for our second anniversary, never having had haute or French cuisine of any sort. The atmosphere was homey and welcoming, and the servers were lovely. We ordered the white truffle fondue, steak tartare, and confit du canard, and were blown away. The highlights were the homemade bread (perfectly crisp on the outside and beyond moist internally) and the fondue, but everything was exceptional. The food was cooked with love, and the atmosphere made me feel like I was receiving the best homecooked meal of my life. Be warned, the drinks are strong, which only makes the experience better.

We came here a little after closing time on a Tuesday, but it looked so charming that I asked if we could be seated for dessert. We were graciously offered a table on the porch, the perfect place to see the night lights coming on over third street. The waitress was very kind, offering a full description of the desserts available. We enjoyed the berry pavlova and the flourless chocolate cake. Both were superb, but the pavlova was the show stopper; perfect with the decaf coffee that was served and frequently refreshed. We have been here before for company Christmas dinners and they have also been AMAZING. This was our first time on our own and it made a very special anniversary evening treat.

We sat down outside at 5pm and were served water immediately. Then no one came until 5:30. That was weird. I had to go look for someone to wait on us. The waitress was in a deep conversation, probably work related, with the owner just inside the door. She saw me peek around and then asked if something was wrong. Weird thing to say since we'd been sitting there for 30 minutes. They weren't busy yet. So this all set the vibe with the waitress. The appetizer was delicious, the wine was great, the salads were okay. The entrees were average but the french fries were awful. Do not order the french fries. Soggy soggy soggy. 4 of us had drinks (1 each) entrees, salads and 2 desserts and with tip, the bill came to $290. Wouldn't go back but was a fun experience.

Group of four for dinner on Saturday night. All outdoor seating and it's not exactly July! Yes, no true heaters, but when you have cocktails and wine, who really needs to waste propane? These wonderful ladies made it into a great night, working their tails off serving up some incredible French cuisine. White truffle fondue, coq au vin, diver scallops and duck, all were amazing. Full round of desserts I can't even begin to recount. Keep it up, looking forward to an inside meal or summer outdoors again.

Truly outstanding meal. I was hesitant to get takeout at for what i expected to be a fine meal out of styrofoam , but they did such a good job packing everything so it stayed secure and fresh by the time we sat to eat. The confit de canard is outstanding. So are the appetizers and the coq au vin. This is a new favorite in town. Looking forward to when we can go back and sit in for dining

My wife and I were completely thrilled by the meal we had at Bistro Maison. We both love French cuisine and the restaurant did not disappoint. From the escargot appetizer to the duck confit and wild salmon entrees, it was all delicious. Unfortunately we had no room to enjoy one of their desserts. Deborah was extremely helpful recommending wine pairings with our various courses. Plus the ambience was as good as the food. If you are in the Willamette Valley, don't miss this restaurant!

Outdoor seating amongst the trees in a lovely patio. The waiter took charge offering several specials that did not disappoint our group of 4. Mussels were large and fresh in a typical sauce of garlic and butter! What's not to love. All meals were enjoyed but would have preferred hanger steak without the sauce.

Traditional French style menu wonderfully prepared and served. The Bistro Maison team was very friendly and provided timely service on a very busy night. The food was very good, served hot. The location is an old residence and set up for both indoor and outdoor dining. Also has a large wine list with a global flavor.

We enjoyed a very lovely meal on the back patio one recent evening. As vegetarians we were a bit worried about finding adequate choices in a French inspired restaurant - but we didn't need to worry at all. The cocktails, the appetizers, the main entrees, and the dessert were all very good - and the service very attentive! Bistro Maison is definitely recommended, even if you are a vegetarian.

We enjoyed a dinner one night after a day of wine tasting. Our seating was in a private alcove on the front porch of the Bistro Maison. I selected the petite salad with mustard vinaigrette dressing. It was delicious and large enough to be shared. For my main entree I went iwth the coq au vin which is cooked with pinot noir, leeks, mushrooms, carrots, and potatoes. For desert we shared the chocolate dessert with cherry ice cream. The ice cream was smooth and full of cherry flavor. The bistro doesn't serve cappuccino which is a little strange for a European restaurant.
The service was a bit spotty, It took a while for us to be attended to and for our water to be filled. One of the servers was a bit unpolished and touched our serving dishes versus using the handles appropriately.
Tip: The servers change constantly so you will not have a single consistent server during your dining experience.

We were out of town guest staying close by and wanted food to go, ( restaurants was busy on this Saturday Valentine’s weekend).
My excellent soup was hot, my salad was fresh and crisp, with salad dressing In a separate container not to wilt the nice salad with pistachios, ( good touch ) added along with nice size chunks of cheese and large bites of bacon and fresh slices of fruit.
My husband loved his salad with his large side of fresh water salmon.
We will get reservations her next time we come back to McMinnville!

We travel all over the world and this is one of the best restaurants we have ever visited. The food was fantastic and their wine list was the best we came across while in Oregon. We selected a very nice 2015 Burgundy Grand Cru. When it was discovered that we had an old wine list and that the wine was unavailable, the manager was aghast and brought 4 different wines to suggest. We picked a similar Premier Cru, which fit our palates perfectly. The prices of the wines are also closer to wholesale than restaurant, so the whole meal was a great value. In fact, when the check came, I questioned the server if it included everything because I expected it to be higher. This restaurant would be worth driving to from Portland. Enjoy.

We had high hopes for a delicious French dinner celebration after a day of tasting the wonderful wines of the area. After a very long wait at the door before we were even greeted we were shown to a table. The restaurant was, understandably, very busy at 7:30 on a Saturday night and we could see that the staff was a little frazzled. Another long wait for someone to bring menus was followed by yet another long wait to place our order. The wine we ordered never came and after asking a couple of folks to look into that for us it arrived with many apologies. The pâté was delicious , the rest of our meal pretty disappointing, both in presentation and execution. After another very long wait our empty plates were cleared and we finally were presented with a check—followed by another wait for the credit card to be picked up. We were, unfortunately, very disappointed by the experience considering the restaurant’s excellent reputation and reviews

Overall our experience was enjoyable but... Upon arrival at 5 PM we decided to be seated outside. It was a hot day and it quickly became apparent to us that we had made a wrong choice. They graciously moved us inside. Ambiance in the restaurant was very nice. By the way, we were 30 minutes early which did not seem to be any kind of an issue. We ordered drinks and advised the waitress that we would like to take our time since it was early. Once we were finished with our drinks we had a discussion with the waitress regarding the wine to choose which we did. The wine was delivered with an ice bucket (that we appreciated), and we continued to request to keep the pace slow. I think at this point the wait staff became irritated as they never came back to pour us any more wine and never came back period. They always avoided eye contact (in our opinion) as they passed by. After at least 30 minutes had passed I caught the hostesses' eye and asked her if we had been forgotten. She sent the waitress who upon arrival stated in a slightly annoyed voice, “I have been waiting on other customers.” Hmmm. She then took our order. The food arrived in a timely manner and it was quite good. No complaints there. The couple sitting next to us who arrived after we did and left before we did even comment to us that we must have waited too long to order our food. Well, that wasn’t exactly our choice. Had the ordering process worked smoother we would have rated this restaurant a 5.
