When we stayed in Jacksonville we got a voucher from the wine cottage for $10 for the mustard seed restaurant. The breakfast menu has hearty fair. We suggest that you save room for one of there great huge cinnamon rolls. They are big enough to share. If you didn't save room get s cinnamon roll to go.

Have breakfasted here many times and always enjoy the food--corned beef is an excellent choice! Recently had lunch too and thoroughly enjoyed the burger too. At the end of the meal they also serve a nice little home-made cookie. Yummy!

Just happened to be lucky enough to get in just before it closed for the day! Owner very savvy about food and it shows in her cooking! Amazing flavors for a small town breakfast-lunch spot. Everything is homemade right there. She loves what she does and it shows! Turns out the locals love it/her too. We always stop in Jacksonville... More

Great breakfast at very reasonable prices. Have smaller portions for the "less hungry" but the regular breakfasts are well-sized and very tasty. Not a lot of seating, but even on a Sunday morning, diner traffic was moving pretty well. Pick a table or window counter; back counter you're looking at the wall. Excellent service and very friendly.

The hash came recommended and was delicious! All other breakfast orders looked delish, too! Check it out!

Great little diner with homemade breakfast, soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts. The pumpkin chocolate chip cookies on this last visit were yummy! Service is warm and welcoming but suggest going on off hours as it is busy and seating is limited. I

We stayed about two blocks away from The Mustard Seed. Our first visit was to have a quick cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich. We really found the coffee to have a good kick yet not acidic. The bacon they served was some of the best I have ever tasted. Next day we there near opening had a great... More

Yes, BUNCH of whatever you order. Plates are so plentiful (full being keyword here) the eye as well as one's palate are served (forgive the pun please.) Coming to town first place on the left, stop, park, stay awhile. I being a resident of Jacksonville,(and prior owner of the Mustard Seed) can assure you the feel of our Historic Town... More
