What a wonderful find in the middle of nowhere.....smile. You go up to the counter to place order and pay, in the process you walk by all the wonderful pastries they have, scones, muffins, tarts, cinnamon rolls......etc. But don't stop there, the quiche is great, waffles are too. They also serve soups, salads, sandwiches and espresso.

This is a quaint cafe with soups , salads and desserts. All made in house. The mushroom soup is the best mushroom soup I have ever tasted! The soup and half sandwich combo is perfect for a light lunch. The pastries are made daily and they are really good! It closes at 2pm, so go early. It also has local... More

We had a bachelorette brunch here, and it was PERFECT! Great munchies (scones, muffins, pastries), great sandwiches and even better beverages. I had the iced chai, and the bride-to-be had a mimosa with fresh blackberries in it! Yum!

All dishes are house made using fresh local ingredients from the surrounding farms. Soups and pastries particularly good. Have an espresso machine which they put to good use. Perfect place for breakfast or lunch if you've come to rural Washington County to buy or pick local berries or fruits. Come early to avoid a wait and plan on buying pastries... More

Oh my, we had the Best meatloaf sandwich the other day and now everytime we pass by this way we make plans to dine at this charming cafe...even if it is just for a little sweetie and tea.

Love this place. It is a mix of old school country cafe with a twist of Portland culture. Lots of long time locals and foodies willing to drive out into the country. The food and drink is excellent, the historic cafe is an eye treat, and the drive to the cafe is the perfect "Sunday" drive.

Everything they serve has been a delight, it is casual, comfy, laid back and professional. I got there as often as possible and am never disappointed. Definitely a keeper ! The Sat. Pecan rolls are the best I've ever had!!! I try to go weekly at least ! Careful with the parking though. It can be a busy spot. Something... More

We were looking to eat some quiche. So I did a search in line and found this place not too far out of town. Visited for breakfast to-go, so I could take it home for my wife. I wasn't disappointed with the quiche itself, but I was left a little hungry. It wasn't a complete meal by any means. Small... More

The South Store Cafe has all the charm and warmth of the place you went with Grandma and Grandpa as a little kid. Country charm! Worth the detour into wine country

From the outside the building is old and has probably served many purposes over the years. Currently, the inside is warm and laid back, with plenty of colorful artwork mixed in with a variety of re-purposed furniture. We stopped in for a late lunch and coffee. The club sand was top notch and the cappuccino was made correctly, with care;... More
