In a rehabilitated former hamburger joint, the Cornbread Cafe provides an oasis of culinary relief for those seeking vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free high quality food at a reasonable price. Filled with booths and a counter, this bustling restaurant has a packed menu of salads, soups, sandwiches, entrees and desserts (the desserts are unbelievably beautiful and fast!!) that will meet anyone's... This is a vegan cafe. On the caliber of the spiral diner in Fort Worth and Dallas. We got the sampler platter. They made tofu taste like fish with tarter sauce. The chicken fried steak was also excellent. He Mac and uncheese was good as well If you are vegan or vegetarian this is a must place. The agave lemonade... More

Found this place on TA and this is a very unique and eclectic establishment. Seating is limited, about 8-9 booths and tables and four seats at a counter. If you crave vegan and also require gluten-free, this is your place. Very unique and varied offering on that theme. Their chili and cornbread staple is very good as was their daily... More

Don't let the vegan menu lead you astray. The foods are impeccably prepared and a wonder to those of us who are omnivores! Delicious and amazing! What I'm trying to say is, you don't need to be a vegan to enjoy this restaurant. Period. Friendly, down to earth service, and cute digs. Go ahead, take a chance...you won't be disappointed.

My son and I were driving through Eugene and googled restaurants in the area rather than hunt all around. Eugene didn't look like a place we'd want to stay around anyway. So we stopped here...I'm a vegetarian he's not. The place looked divey but that's ok...reminded me of places we eat at in Laramie. It was crowded so we waited... More

Vegan, maybe. But if you're thinking healthy, think again. This is greasy fries, fried everything, heavy greasy diner-style food, that just happens to be vegan. Not our cup of tea, sorry!

The wait staff at this gem of a find are friendly and helpful. We had been curious about tofu as an egg substitute but nervous to try it. One of us got them scrambled and the other Iran omelet we have been vegan over two years and the omelet was just the breakfast treat we have been missing. We just... More

We chose this place based on the great reviews. There was nothing fantastic about our experience. The food is not especially healthy, although it is free of animal products, and our food was not exceptional in any way. Nothing about the place makes me want to return. Glad others are able to enjoy it.

I'm from Mississippi and love me some fried chicken and gravy...so had to try their "fried chicken" platter. The Cornbread cafe hit it out of the park!!!! Could not tell it was not chicken and the collard greens and cheese grits were perfection! ! My husband had the burger, LOVED IT! This place is full of locals and has a... More
