Red Hills Market was recommended to us by Alice of Trisaetum winery for a late lunch. We arrived after 3:00 pm and were able to order from the Happy Hour menu (available from 3:00 to 6:00pm Monday – Friday, no to go). We ordered the following to share: Wood-Fired Bread (extra virgin olive oil, sea salt & fresh herbs, reg price $4.00, happy hour price $3.00); Jojo’s (seasoned hand cut potato wedges served with house made chunky bleu cheese dressing, reg price $7.00, happy hour price $4.00); one whole Roast Beef sandwich (roasted in the wood-fired oven with blue cheese, and caramelized onions, reg price $10.00); and one draft beer (reg price $6.00, happy hour price $5.00). Everything was excellent, but we LOVED the Wood-Fired Bread. This is also a gift shop with local wines and beers and a selection of local handcrafted products such as jams, chocolate, honey and housewares. We highly recommend this place.

We went for lunch today after visiting tasting rooms in the area. The market is more restaurant than store with a great selection for food, wine, beers, etc. My son recommended the fried chicken sandwich and it lived up to its reputation, both my wife and I thought it was really good. The chorizo veritable soup was also a hit. Will definitely go back when in the area.

Our family of three stopped at the Red Mill Market after visiting a winery in Willamette Valley. We ordered at the counter and took a number to a table (we were lucky to find one). Two of us shared a Reuben sandwich and a side salad, and one of our party got the grilled cheese. Everything was delicious and oooey-gooey. The store has a nice variety of assorted packaged foods, snacks, cheeses, etc. There is a larger outdoor area around back for warmer weather. Before we left, we got a couple of giant cookies: chocolate chip and an oatmeal one with M & M’s. Both were nice and moist and lasted us several hours. The Red Mill Market is a nice place for a quick bite of lunch while visiting wine country.

Red Hills Market has been our go-to since moving to the area years ago. The service varies from very friendly to not so friendly, but the food is consistently delicious and the atmosphere is lovely. We chose to dine there, with friends, last Saturday evening and spent quite a bit of money. The chicken Caesar salad pizzas had far less salad and chicken than on previous occasions, but we enjoyed our food. Monday morning, when I was reviewing my bank account online, I was surprised to see that I was charged the exact same amount TWICE for our meal. When I checked with my bank to ensure that the error was not on their end, I was advised that two more attempts were made, in the same amount, on Sunday. I called Red Hills and was advised that sometimes they have issues with internet connectivity resulting in duplicate charges. This shouldn't be acceptable to a business. I received a lukewarm "sorry," and was advised that it could take up to 10 days for my account to receive the refund of the duplicate charge. This is very disappointing customer relations from a restaurant that we have frequented so many times over the years.

Incredibly disappointing. Has this place changed hands? The service was surly; I asked for a wine glass to drink my sparkling water in as I try not to drink out of plastic and the cutesy canning jars they use are clunky and awkward. They were very reluctant to give me one of their several dozen stemless wine glasses within easy reach. I ordered the Cobb salad which supposedly came with blue cheese dressing. Whatever that dressing was it was not blue cheese and no one seem to know anything about it. It tasted like it came out of a bottle and was very strong on the garlic powder. It had no trace of blue cheese. The chicken was cut into huge chunks of dry chicken breast, the vegetables were fresh enough but the awful dressing really ruined the salad. My husband ordered the calzone which was equally disappointing . All of the coppa was crowded into the center leaving the majority of the calzone with a tasteless dough mass with adhesive cheese. The red sauce that came with it came directly out of the refrigerator and was ice cold and tasteless, also probably out of a jar.
These people have a great location and could be a real resource, but they crowd their shop with Kitch instead of really interesting products of which there are many in this region.

I'm only rating the place on service because we didn't stay to eat. My wife wanted to buy two of the signature carry bags but found herself behind a line of people waiting to put in their orders for lunch. She tried to pay at the cash register and was told "Get in line!" She tried to explain that she only wanted the two bags and the waitress snapped, very sternly, "Get in line!" Unbelievably rude person. There's no way we would ever come there again.

Went here with a local-area friend and wish we could have stayed in the area longer (!). We dined in the outdoor seating area (the puppy was with us) which, on the warm day we were there, was just perfect (and properly COVID-distanced). One orders and pays at the counter and your meal is delivered to your table. My wife loved her tuna sandwich and I had the best Reuben sandwich I've ever eaten (and those have been many). Our host had a great looking pizza. We downed our meals with locally produced adult beverages which were also very tasty. Definitely a place to come back to in the future!

This is my 2nd review of Red Hills. The most important element of any restaurant is the food! That is the reason I adore Red Hills Market. Some of my favorite dishes are the Avocado Toast, the Fried Chicken Sandwich and The Pepperoni Pizza. They used to put egg salad under the Avocado on the Avocado Toast. Didn't order it this time so I am not sure they still do, but it was amazing!! I’m truly happy there is such a great little place in Oregon wine country where I can order food to go and pick up a couple of Christmas gifts at the same time. I previously had Red Hills cater a small dinner party at Domaine Roy and it was excellent. I intend to order take-out again for myself and four of my guests the 1st week-end in December when I return to Dundee. I absolutely love the comfortable atmosphere, friendly waiters, affordable prices, and just good food. Yes, it can be really crowded at times. However, If I need to recommend someone on where to eat in Dundee it will always be Red Hills Market! Finally, I was also at Red Hills this summer during COVID and the Restaurant did everything possible to make me feel comfortable. The added was great!

OK. We have been here a number of times but today, the visit has been a horrendous experience. We ordered a number of items to take to a nearby winery (chicken sandwich, Reuben, the Dundee grinder and a few other smaller items). It took almost an hour for the order to come out. When I stopped in to check the status, the person (I presume a female supervisor) scolded me for coming in to check and told me in a most condescending term - "you wait outside & it will be another hour".... without even realizing that we put in the order 45 minutes prior! This is insane....

Fun upscale restaurant, wine shop and market. We sat inside and had 3 appetizers and a bottle of Pinot for dinner. They stock a wide range of wines that are mid to upper priced. They offer bar/drink service and wine by the glass. The cookies were big and looked delicious! Seating is available inside (AC) or outdoors. Staff were helpful and friendly. 4 stars only because portions were modestly sized for the price and they ended their happy hour. They offer pre-made sandwiches, charcuterie and more wine tasting snacks for on site or to go.

We arrived about 11:30 to find a short line-turns out they were having problems with computer where they entered orders. Problem quickly solved.
when you enter, possibly due to covid precautions you make a slight loop thru the market area to get to counter where you order. Menu is quite extensive for lunch- regular deli sandwiches, hot sandwiches and other hot choices. My wife and I chose pizza's (margarita for her, pepperoni for me). The pizza's were good sized about six slices a piece. Thin crust almost requires use of knife and fork which were not provided we needed to ask for them. Drinks, are available from refrigerated units or ice tea can be ordered at the counter. You get a table flag and your order is brought to you.
There is a small indoor seating area and a large outdoor patio area with plenty of seats. Two ladies occupied a table inside working on computers to develop marketing presentations for their clients for the entire time we were there-guess they thought it was Starbucks but this was quite rude given the limited seating and the food lines.
Location is convenient to large number of wineries nearby. There is a parking lot but street parking is also available.

I was in Newberg over July 4th weekend and stopped-in at the Red Hills Market for breakfast three days in a row. The first day, I had the pumpkin seed & current muffin, which was tasty, but on day #2, I had the avocado toast, which is the stuff dreams are made of! Absolutely divine! The bread, which was "charred" to perfection in the wood-burning oven, was drenched in the most delicious olive oil from the Durant Farms about 10 minutes away. My only suggestion is that they devise a more efficient (i.e., expedient) manner in which to serve those guests who only want a cup of coffee or a muffin. The coffee service was excruciatingly slow. I'm sure with a little finessing, this can be accomplished. Great gifts too!

I stopped at this restaurant for a snack, because my experience is that the cookies are delightful. As is the pizza. Outside the door was a sandwich board with at least five rules I thought the restaurant enforced to ensure safety for customers in the midst of the Covide-19 pandemic. But when I entered the market, I discovered the space to view the menu and order was even tighter than before the pandemic. There was no physical distancing enforced, and the majority of customers waiting to order were not wearing masks. I walked out without ordering. There is plenty of good food in the Portland, OR area. I don't need to visit a market that seems to have no regard for its customers' safety. Very disappointed, Red Hills Market.

I don't know what happened to this place. It was great but we were really disappointed. Waited over an hour for food. My tuna melt wasn't included and when it came out a few minutes after the other stuff it was cold! When I mentioned it to staff I did get an apology though 😳

Stopped here for a little nutrition to sop up all the wine between tastings. Ordered the breakfast sandwich, which was perfectly done. In fact, it might have been the best over easy egg I’ve ever had, with the deep orange yolk just bursting with the first bite, soaking the tangy sourdough and salty bacon with that rich farm fresh goodness. I wish I had a pic of the color of the yolk- you don’t see that deep golden color in store bought eggs. Finger lock-in’ good!
Chai was a bit sweet and service was slow, but that just gave me more time to drool over all the plates coming out before mine. Need to go back for the roast beef sandwich. Outdoor seating is good, dogs allowed, what else is there really.
