We found Sweet Basil on accident in Cannon Beach. After visiting here for over 10 years, knowing that there is an Iron Chef in Cannon Beach is amazing. The food was a culinary experience that one would expect in New York at a Michelin restaurant....More

Second time here and this time my wife asked to put some spice and heat in the seafood jambalaya and it turned out absolutely exceptional. Service was great. We asked for a bottle of wine from the bar and the Chardonnay was chilled to perfection....More

Thanks for your review and I'm happy you enjoyed your visit. Also, yes try the nights special when here I usually try to highlight different ingredients than what's on our menu. John S Chef/owner

Yum, delicious. Just the right portion. Quaint atmosphere. Off street parking. Not a lot of seating space, but we arrived at opening and were seated and served promptly.

While most will say that the Wayfarer Restaurant and Stephanie Inn in Cannon Beach are the premium dining places, the Moroccan stew and gumbo at the Sweet Basil can top anything on the coast for sheer taste pleasure. The prices are more reasonable as well,...More

We visited Sweet Basil's on Memorial Day. The wait staff were warm, and welcoming. My Bahn Mi sandwich was the best; pork belly Nirvana! Chef John was there and happily answered my barrage of questions. Five Stars. Will be back for sure.

After hearing some good reviews, decided to give it a try. Long and short is simply this is just another north coast restaurant trying to be trendy. As several have noted, service is slow and as I experienced, practically non-existent. After being served we did...More

My husband I came here last November 2017 for our 20th wedding anniversary and loved it! Had dinner there tonight (April 2018) and it was fabulous! Enjoyed their Osso Bucco tremendously! The prices for this area were very reasonable. 10% discount for cash. Highly recommended!!

Excellent from start to finish. Thursday two-for-one is a great deal, but come early. Service is a little slow, so prepare to savor.
