This restaurant is our new favorite in Cannon Beach. The atmosphere is industrial but inviting, nice music and not too loud so one could carry on a conversation. The wait staff is very friendly. Our food was prepared and presented beautifully. I wish we had taken a photo. We decided to try this one evening and were blown away by... More

After hearing in a grocery line that Castaway was possibly the best new place to eat in Cannon, we quickly made a reservation for 4 that evening. Fantastic menu, if it's possible to have carribean comfort food! Spicy Chicken skewers, salad with candied walnuts, cranberries and goat cheese, black and blue ahi Tuna, and the most incredible mac and cheese... More

The chowder was ok - expected much better from the reviews we had read before deciding to dine here.

I've lived and worked in Alaska and Washington most of my life, and I'm no stranger to chowder. This may have been the best I've ever eaten. The main ingredients were steelhead and shrimp, and not as heavy on the cream as most. Also the salad with seared ahi tuna and house dressing was great. Friendly service. It's not a... More

This restaurant does not need my review, but I'm throwing in my opinion anyway, since we had such a good meal and a lovely time. The Texas Egg rolls, basically wonton wrappers filled with jack and cream cheese, then fried and served with green onion, diced red pepper and sweet hot chili dipping sauce, were crisp on the outside and... The items on the menu seem very conventional for a Caribbean oriented place. But each dish we tried was done with a flair or creativity and was very flavorful. Service was attentive and engaged. Small wine list but nice choices at reasonable prices for a restaurant. It's a small place to can fill up easily, and it deserves to.

We went here on a Saturday night. We had the marsala and the stuffed chicken meals (I can't remember what they were called). BOTH were very good and tasty and is worth returning. The stars are for the food and our personal server (I think her name was Heather but can't remember). Our server was very nice and did a... More

First time at this location. From the service to the food and drinks all excellent. Don't miss the chicken satay appetizer and the jerk chicken was to die for. Will definitely be back.

Very flavorful, we had the jambalaya and curried prawn dishes. Both excellent! We had level 2 which was perfect for me and my husband said he might of been able to do 3 but still enjoyed them. The crab fritters were wonderful and very flavorful. I usually don't care much for mango both the curried shrimp and the crab fritters... More

After reading the reviews we decided to give Castaways a try on our visit to Cannon Beach. We split the crab fritters and I had the jambalaya for dinner. Both were spicy but the spice seemed to enhance the flavour profile rather than masking it. Hubby had the pork chop for dinner and overall we were very impressed with the... More
