We visit this place often for a family treat. They have lots of ice cream/dessert options, great salt water taffy, and wonderful old candy that makes it a very nostalgic place to visit. They also have a great seating area with a variety of games...More
If you love Gelato then this is the place to go and it's always fresh. My wife says their ice cream is also very good, but my preference is the Gelato.
This place reminds me of the ice cream shops I visited growing up. Grandparents used to take us to Howard Johnson's every Sunday for ice cream. Friendly service, awesome selection, great big scoops, good cone selection.
Slugs N Stones is in the lower harbor, it's small and busy. The ice cream is amazing, so good I couldn't decide on one flavor, and neither could my husband. So we each had two - triple chocolate, chocolate & peanut butter, pistachio and almond,...More
Quickly became a daily stop while we stayed in Brookings. Great ice cream at a good price. Loved the screened in porch w/trivia cards on the tables. Looking forward to next year!
Stopped by fr a dio...loved the variety. A place that is really not well advertised. Had a scoop of prailine -- it was very good.
We just stopped here to have some ice cream. Fairly extensive list of flavors and preparations. Only one person behind the counter but she worked fast, so we were on our way fairly quickly.
We arrived in time to be the last customers for the night. The ice cream was very good (Huckleberry Cheesecake!). They also had some souvenirs to buy if you wanted to pick up something.
Huckleberry Cheesecake ice cream in a waffle cone... say no more... yum!!! You can walk along the harbor while you eat your ice cream cone.
