My son and I visited evening of June 18, 2021. Excellent service, appealing outdoor seating in a quiet area. We tried the following.
Chicken stuffed Somali pastry, it was delicious, hot and freshly fried, the mandazi was hot and fresh too.
Combo meal of lamb shank, succulently tender lamb.
Combo meal of chicken suquaar deliciously spicy with rice that was well flavored.
The co-owner was friendly and gave us their Mansaf to try for free.
Great experience on our visit

My favorite place to get a gyro. Large size and lots of meat.
During this time of take out only due to the coronavirus is important we support these small family businesses.

This restaurant opened during the summer of 2017, a lucky find we stumbled across in our neighborhood. The decor and ambiance is spare, but the delicious food a happy surprise. I had the sambosas which, combined with a salad and mango smoothie, was plenty for my meal. The flavors were delicious and not too spicy-hot. I tried some of my husband's chicken stew and found myself trying to guess at the ingredients because the flavor profile was delightful, and unlike anything I'd had before. Main courses can be ordered with a choice of rice or spaghetti noodles, as Somalia enjoys a blend of Mediterranean and East African influences.
Service was super friendly and welcoming.
I hope they will consider offering additional salad choices, as I sometimes prefer a light meal, and I'd love to try some more authentic Somali salads and vegetables. They do offer lentil stew for vegetarians.
We are looking forward to trying more dishes in the future!
