Discovered the hidden gem while staying at the nearby downtown Courtyard. We stopped in before the Billy Joel concert and fell in love with it. The Vault has a great old Mad Men kind of feel to it. It's a must stop when in Tulsa.

First off, the so called chef has no idea how to prepare vegetables. They offer an acorn squash-based dinner, but the squash was quite undercooked. There was not enough mashed cauliflower to really taste and the accompanying root vegetables had so much pepper and were so small that they could not be distinguished. Oh yeah, there was supposed to be... More

I read about the restaurant in a local publication and took my wife there for dinner. Since it is in an old bank and I enjoy architecture and repurposing buildings, we walked around to look at all sides, just about broke my foot on cracked concrete. Then we went looking for the door, which is poorly marked. We walked in... More

We really wanted to adore this cute restaurant but not quite. Everything was tasty except the scalloped potatoes. They were crunchy, almost raw and the waiter didn't care. Too bad. Everything else was five star. Loved our steaks, my spinach-apple salad, the vegetables, the Manhattan. I just can't get past the raw potatoes and the "I don't care" attitude.

Interesting drinks and the buffalo cauliflower and polenta dish with goat cheese were so good I will go back again soon.

I was really excited to try this spot, but was disappointed in the food. We first ordered the avocado/crab salad. It tasted Ok, but the lettuce it was garnished with was a bit brown and wilted. Next, I tried the chicken and waffles. Again, it was just OK. It came with guacamole, which was a bit brown and the bacon... More

There are so many Tulsan's that still don't know about the Vault. It used to be a bank and was turned into this amazing eatery. The owner is known to buy local.. You can't go wrong with that! There are many options such as Gluten Free and Veggie. The drinks are top notch. The price is mid range, but worth... More

Located in what was once the largest drive-thru bank in downtown Tulsa, this restaurant appealed to us due to its unique setting. The lower level is the restaurant and the upper level is called the Tom-Tom room and has some outdoor seating. It certainly is not fancy; more of an art deco theme, but the food was good. Preparation of... More

This was a short walk from my hotel and proved to be an excellent meal. I arrived at about 6:30pm and even though there was a private event downstairs, the TomTom room was opened for dining. Since I was alone, I ate at the bar and the bartender and servers took excellent care of me. I started with a half-order... More

The barkeep was friendly and informative. I had the bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin, which was amazing. The polenta side was delicious, but the real surprise were the mushrooms and spinach sides. It seems like they sauteed the mushrooms in garlic and then tossed them with some raw baby spinach real quick, so the latter was just wilted. Excellent. I also had... More
