I have compared Marilyn's to every breakfast place in McAlester. It's the best! Why? Price, it's about $8. Service, fast and friendly. Biscuits, homemade, light, hot, and fluffy. Eggs, perfect over medium. Hash browns, homemade and crispy. Sausage and bacon, great quality and crispy. Pancake, huge and crispy on the edges. Awesome burgers, chicken fried steak, and fried chicken too.... More

After thanksgiving, heading home we decided to stop here for a late breakfast, early lunch. Busy place with lots of locals. Okay service, only one coffee refill then a $.95 charge but waitress didn't even come by for the freebie. We ordered breakfast. Bacon was great, I ordered well done and it was perfect. 2 eggs came with bacon, biscuits... More

Stopped in for a late breakfast on a Saturday. Place was busy but service was good and food hit the spot. Great local place if your looking for home cooking.

Everything we had was good, especially the ham and eggs breakfast. Coffee was not as good as the Best Western next door but was drinkable.

Fresh food and friendly service. The chicken fried steak was very good. Salad was fresh. Tea was just right. Fast service, arrived at noon and had our food in 10 minutes.

Bacon was burned but flavor was bad enough we didn't ask them to redo it. Egg cooked ok. I think the biscuits were store bought and the gravy was tasteless. I read so many good reviews - somebody at a table behind us commented they loved the biscuits...I just don't understand that. Just under 24 dollars for two modest breakfasts... More

Saturday morning, 10.30ish, found the place on trip adviser and decided to give it a try since was rated 4 out 5 stars. Small, cozy and pretty busy at that time (place has about 13-14 tables of 2s and 4s) We ordered an omelet and a special, coffe and milk, got our drinks within 5 min and then the wait... More

If you're passing through McAlester, Marilyn's is a great place to stop for a meal. Breakfast is served all day, along with down-home American meals, of course! And Marilyn's is my first choice when I crave a good, old-fashioned hamburger! Need to add that their fries are home-made!

We stopped here because of the good reviews. But it was a disappointment . The catfish had no flavor, club sandwich was made with cold chunks of meat. I'll find another place if I'm passing through here again .

We've stopped here once before, and planned to stop here for breakfast on our way from Dallas to Branson. Small town diner, old fashion, with very good food. We both had bacon , eggs and potatoes, and it was delicious. Bacon very good. Good sized bacon. Prices reasonable, good service. Great plan to stop when driving through.
