This is the best place in Edmond to get South American food. I love the Jerk Chicken and the pork chops. The saltados are really outstanding. The shrimp dishes are also yummy.

We went to Zarate's for a late afternoon lunch. The usual chips salsa and queso were promptly delivered by a friendly waiter. Returning with our drink order he answered a couple of questions then patiently waited for us to decide on our choices. We opted for non traditional selections such as the Cuban sandwich. The food was excellently prepared and... More

I've been a fan of Zarate's for a couple years now. It's old school decor with really good and friendly service. It's not a typical Mexican style food, yet you do get chips and salsa/queso and some good Mexican style dishes are available. My favorites are the dishes with a Peruvian flavor...so good. Good variety of cold beer. Always a... More

We visited based upon very positive reviews. It wasn't bad and it didn't wow either. This is an above average Mexican-style restaurant that has other Latin foods like empanadas, Carribean jerk and curry, etc. I had Carribean shrimp curry. I wouldn't suggest that. I'd try something else next time.

Not a typical Tex Mex resturant. This resturant offer dishes from Central and South America. Fun and relaxed atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff. I recommend you enjoy the historic old building as well as the food in this local fave.

My suggestion: order something you normally wouldn't try. You'll be pleasantly surprised. Everything is tasty. If you aren't adventurous, they have good Mexican food too.

The Cuban Pork Chops are by far the best Pork Chops I've ever eaten. If you are in the area, you need to try this place

We read all the positive reviews and decided to try this place. I ordered the classic tacos with shredded beef and my husband ordered the tamales wrapped in banana leaves. The beef in my tacos had no flavor and they completely fell apart after the first bite. The only thing on the place that I liked was the refried beans.... More

I ordered empanadas, they were a little greasy. My friend ordered the fried onions and jalapeño's. They were not fried but grilled. Big difference when that's all you're eating. It was okay.

We only did a take out order. It was our first time here. Great choices and delicious food. The portions are large and the value is great. Atmosphere...what we could see from the front door seemed festive and light. Will go back when in the area again.
