As the title states this place has a nice casual feel to it. I drive in from Owasso just to eat there. Each time I have been there they are packed no matter what time of day it is. The food is good and the portions are amazingly large! The pricing is very reasonable too.

I have been eating at Murphy's Steak House for as long as I can remember. It hasn't changed much in 40+ years. Murphy's is called a steak house but I've never had a steak there. My two go to meals are the small hamburger steak and a hamburger, fries and salad. I always order a salad because their homemade garlic... More

If you like brown gravy over everything you eat, you will love this place. It is old, shabby chic and the parking lot is packed every weekend. This is a local eatery with local following. It is also reasonable in cost.

Not really a steakhouse, just an out of date diner, cafe red split seats and all. Smells like a greasy spoon, but the greasy spoon food was pretty good. Patty melt was crispy and warm but had bites without meat on the corners. Husband had a rib eye which was cooked medium well, not to his preference, because the waitress... More

Nothing fancy here. You wait in the lobby, on the honor system, for a booth. You seat yourself. A waitress who has been there forever will take your order. I have been going for over 40 years and have always had the same thing: Hot hamburger, gravy over all and a side salad with garlic dressing (secret recipe). Diet coke.

This was a small town, informal, diner-style restaurant. You come in and seat yourself at a booth (four people would be tight). There are interesting pictures on the walls. Each booth has a roll of paper towels, slices of bread in sandwich bags, crackers, sugar, a jar with sweeteners and lemon packets, salt, pepper, Heinze 57, A-1 Sauce, catchup, French's... More

Murphys is Bartlesville tradition and known for "gravy over all"--even french fries! The portions are ridiculously large. The salad is always coarsest grated lettuce with small carrot pieces and choice of tomatoes and grated cheddar. Dressings are brought in large plastic squeeze bottle. Sadly the restaurant no longer makes its own pies. This is the place to go when you... More

This is a place of many memories. I have been coming here since shortly after I was born. I remember so many Sunday dinners here. Murph would come out to the table to say "hi". My sister and I felt so grown up when we ordered "Pink Ladies" Sprite with cherry syrup. You have to try the special Hot Hamburger.... More
