Old school root beer stand (from 1957) that serves fantastic root beer. They have coney dogs, hamburgers, chips, etc as well - none of which will amaze you, but that's not the reason to visit - the root beer is second to none! Go visit and keep these gems open for the next generation!

The Root Beer Stand never disappoints. Met some friends for lunch today and sat outside in the beautiful weather. Double cheeseburger, Fritos and Root Beer float, what else do you need? Great place.

The service is very good and the food is tasty. Fun sitting outside and eating with all the interesting sights and sounds including a train going by.

Simple, fun, and oh, so good! If you're really in a hurry go somewhere else. This place draws a big lunch crowd, but it may take a few minutes to get your order. IF you do choose to take the time you'll be rewarded with some good old fashioned drive in food that's ALWAYS prepared to order. I highly recommend... More

I actually brought my daughter and 90-year-old grandma. We loved the old-timey feel of the counters and people hustling behind the counter. Daughter loved her coney. My hot dog was good. Grandma - well, she ate a little of her hotdog, but asked for refills on her root beer many times. She's got a sweet tooth and The Root Beer... More

Homemade Root Beer served in chilled mugs - what more can you ask for? Open seasonally - very, very busy (of course it would be!). They are also serve burgers, hot dogs, nachos, hot pretzels, etc. Indoor counter seating and outdoor picnic tables...

The Root Beer stand is a beloved tradition of my family. During the summer, my grandparents would take me there for a coney, a big mug of that delicious root beer, and to play with those fun little water ring gadgets. They took my mother there as a child and we still go to this day. It is a fun... More

The Root Beer is so good. It is always crowded. Too crowded sometimes. Great for kids. They have picnic tables in backnow with small play area. Kids like the train that goes by.

The Root Beer Stand has been a close-knit family operation from day one and remains so today. As a matter of fact, both of our main cooks met the men they married while working at The Stand. They were carhops back in the 60's, and still enjoy the fast-paced work. And the root beer.
