They were busy! We sat at their little bar. Service was great. Watching the employees was entertaining as they were cheerful and kind. Bloody Marys were good and our food was excellent.

Food was OK, not great. Bacon was local but not special, coffee was weak. Impersonal. Charges 3% extra for using credit card, which seems a bit out of line for a tourist area.

Loved the use of locally sourced items. The menu has so many delicious options, choosing only 1 is tough! Go with someone else, have them order a different item, and share!

Could have been a very good breakfast, but everything was overcooked. My scrambled eggs and sausages were a little dry, but still, they were tasty. Had THE BEST cinnamon roll ever. My husband's pancakes and bacon were also overcooked. The place is huge and packed...on a Wed morning so locals must like their breakfast overdone. Service was fast and friendly. Would recommend only the cinnamon roll. There were some yummy looking muffins in the case by the entrance.More

Hearty breakfasts and original menu items you can’t find elsewhere. If the free breakfast at local hotels isn’t enough this is worth the stop. Service was good- though things get pretty busy during peak hours. Not cheap but the food is tasty.

Do not go here. This was the worst breakfast ever. The crepes were rubber and cold. Nothing about it resembled a light and airy crepe. The scrambled eggs were dried out and cold. It was expensive and the service was slow.

Before I get to bragging too much about my vegan pancake experience, I need to tell you what a lively and energetic atmosphere we walked into at Sandusky Bay Pancake House. The spot was busy (at 10am on a Tuesday no less), with lots of...smiling, happy, cheerful and helpful employees running around serving their guests with joy. Props to the management team for doing something right in their recruiting and training, as the team was a pure joy! The Vegan Parfait Pancakes I ordered didn't disappoint, either. The light & fluffy vegan pancakes were topped with fresh strawberries & bananas, drizzled with strawberry vegan yogurt, and sprinkled with granola, served with a side of maple syrup for that extra hit of sweetness. They were just the right mix of indulgent & fresh, of soft & crunchy, with a bit of creaminess from the vegan yogurt. These pancakes definitely made my plant-based heart smile on a cold and blustery January Ohio day. I can't express my gratitude enough to the folks at Sandusky Bay Pancake House for providing me with an opportunity to sit down for a good old fashioned pancake breakfast with the people in my life who choose to eat differently than I do. I'm grateful for the intentional, creative, and fantastically delicious vegan options on the menu, and for giving me the opportunity to feel like I was indulging just the right amount while still honoring my preference for food free from animal products. This is absolutely our favorite place to eat in Sandusky! The staff is very friendly and fast to get what you need, but the food is to die for! I highly recommend the locally grown bacon! I would dry out pull my way for it!...Very pleasant atmosphere. Always very busy so plan for a potential wait.More
