This is a great restaurant in a fabulous college town. Great place for parents to take their students for a nice meal when visiting. Interesting menu and drink specials.

My girlfriend and I have been here four times and the food was excellent, but the portion sizes have become smaller in the past two years. Apart from that, Kona has always been excellent. The staff are attentive, the food is delicious, and the price is about what you'd except at a restaurant like this. Good ambiance, and a perfect... More
Staff was friendly! Nice environment. I got the pork special. It was way over cooked. I told our server & she had them cook another order which was better. The food was ok not fabulous. It's a bit pricy for the quality of food you get.
My hangar steak was OK. My wife sent her pasta back, it was cold. Took 5 minutes in a near empty place to get a spoon. Real let down
While Oxford has several good restaurants, there aren't a lot of "upscale" choices but Kona Bistro is one of them. We've eaten here on several visits to Miami University and Kona Bistro never disappoints. Most entrees are in the $15-$23 price range and the portion sizes are not large, but the food rates high on presentation, quality, and taste. On... More
I had the Grilled Salmon Salad. Not your usual type of salad. It was stacked and in the middle somewhere was mashed potatoes. It was the best Salmon Salad I have ever had!!
The restaurant was packed. We were ten customers standing at the door on Winter Commencement night; hungry and cold from the single digit temperatures outdoors. We watched the staff start moving tables and chairs into the middle of the passageway between the kitchen to the front of the house. The staff was speedy in making room for us. We were... More
This was our 3rd visit to Kona Bistro. Dinner was a diverse variety of either comfort foods or beautifully stacked salads. I had the grilled salmon salad and enjoyed the mango chutney and the surprise of the mashed potatoes under the salmon. They have many gluten free options and also offer gluten free pasta. Kona Bistro has a relaxing casual... More
I've eaten at Kona before and loved it. This last time I believe I just chose the wrong dish. I started with the crab and corn chowder. I devoured it. It was really good. For my main course I had a spicy shrimp and scallop ramen. It was very disappointing. The shrimp looked like tiny canned shrimp and the scallops... More
Been here twice , service is great and dinner is good. Ran out of steak one night we went (after family weekend)! but the food is served very pretty and have not disappointed yet. Good place to take family and tourists.
