We were there or 3 days at The Tall Timbers which has a very large restaurant and a pub. The chairs are the worst with hard old fashioned seats. The service was efficient and friendly. I was however disappointed about the limited selection of red wines. They offered me a glass of Brown Brother Red wine for $15.- which I... More

Easter weekend. Enjoyable national conference venue. Warm (lots of fires), inviting (plenty of places to relax), comfortable, clean with super friendly and efficient staff. In easy reach of key north west touring destinations.

The restaurant is quite large and not very cosy, certainly not adequate for a romantic dinner but the food is fine and the service very friendly and effective. The kitchen is partly open and serves freshly cooked hot breakfast. You won't be disappointed.

I had dinner at the tall timbers hotel. I had scallops for a starter which were good and then a pizza which was ok but certainly not going to win any awards. I also had breakfast here which was terrible probably the worst on my whole Tasmanian trip.

Welcoming, friendly and effective restaurant service. Interesting and tempting menu. My choices over three courses were beautifully presented, cooked perfectly and all very delicious. Despite the restaurant being quite large and when I was there very busy, everything was running smoothly and efficiently.

The comprehensive new menu is stylish and more importantly most inviting - complemented by some very attentive personnel who efficiently ensured our overall dining experience was nothing but brilliant. Even on a very busy evening, the service was exceptional. Thanks heaps to all concerned for making this venue the "place to be" at the moment. Keep up this great standard.
