i would never visit this cafe again !! there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke outside the front door of this cafe and upon entering there was still a smell of cigarette smoke. I would have walked straight out but was with other people and didn't want to make a fuss. The service and coffee were very average and... More

Might have struck them on a bad day but I found the male owner to be very rude and acted like I was an inconvenience not a paying customer! I won't be going again!

Stopped to check out the Gregorian architecture and flour mill. Saw the reviews for this place and had to see it for myself. The space is very quaint with maybe 5-7 tables (suitable for 2-4 people) there is one waiter, who also runs the register, and brings you your food. Friendly service overall. The options are plentiful, but not too... More

The owners were also the hosts of the Oatlands Lodge B&B were we stayed the night. Fortunately we ordered dinner from the shop as there were not too many places to eat dinner in the town. We had lovely savoury crepes with salad, and soup, so ended up having a great tasty meal. Would certainly recommend it!

The food is very cheap, very delicious for those that can eat gluten. The hot drinks were hot and a lovely pot of tea for $3.50 fabulous containing at least 3 cups. It was however extremely disappointing that there was absolutely nothing for me to eat. Nothing. No gluten free at all. The service was quite slow too,

As a food blogger and frequent traveller I am always on the look out for good places to eat. Our visit here was impromptu and we thought we'd try out the pancakes, considering the reviews on TripAdvisor weren't too bad. The pancakes were beyond unacceptable, totally unpalatable, chewy and cold. The berry sauce was obviously cheap, store bought quality. We... More

Had the veggie pancake again be use I wanted to give it a second chance. This time much better experience. Definitely not sweet as I remembered it before, maybe something went wrong with it last time and it was accidentally sweet? I am told that the seafood pancake is delicious so next time I think I'll try that one. I... More

This was one of the most memorable meals we had in Tasmania. The restaurant is set in a quaint stone cottage opposite the towns flour mill. The couple running the restaurant were friendly and so accommodating to the four children we had with us. The scones were light and fluffy and served straight from the oven and the kids loved... We stumbled into Oatlands today because hubby needed a refreshment break before we hit Hobart. What a beautiful little community! And the best part, the warm welcome and delicious food on offer at the Pancake and Crepe Shop. We really felt we had been invited into someone's sitting room. The scones were amazing and hubby reports that Cynthia's cinnamon scrolls... More
