We wanted somewhere for a group of 9 for an informal celebration and catch up. Again the Coach and Horses came up trumps. Excellent menu, food and service (very attentive and friendly without being in your face like so many places). Perfect thank you.

Two menus to choose from which included a light bite option. The cod tempura with lime mayonaise light bite was quite substantial, very good ! If you don't want salad dressing, ask before, salad was fresh and tasty. We were all very happy with the food and after looking at the menu board look forward to many evening visits and collecting... I really like this traditional pub and the staff are all very nice and the gardens are a lovely place to sit and enjoy a drink. Only thing that I would highlight is the food is a bit pricey, £13 for an average fish and chips is expensive! Will definitely return for a drink but not for food..which is a... More

Had a saturday evening meal here and the service considering there were ten of us was great. We all had different choices - the pork starter was the star and the balsamic salmon main lovely. Will definitely visit again

A return to one of our favourite places. Great gardens and a real pub with restaurant. All of us had a great meal. Starters of crispy of tongue; salmon;baked Camembert and prawns etc. Mains of pork belly; pork tenderloin; calves liver; sausages and mash and duck all cooked well and tasty. Never had a bad meal here and staff are... More

A rural pub in a lovely setting. Upmarket food with a good choice both vegetarian and non vegetarian. Good selection of real ales. Friendly staff and locals, plus Dougel the golden retriever.

We visited this pub situated in the village of Danehill near Haywards Heath after a 9km walk around the area. We were warmly welcomed by the landlady and chose our drinks - the Partridge bitter guest ale and the local cider, the latter of which was absolutely superb. The menu though not extensive has plenty of variety. We had the... More

Don't be fooled by the address. This pub is way out of town and all the better for it! On a lovely spring lunchtime, most of the clients were locals, but we felt welcome. Good service , good food and reasonable prices. Nice traditional interior and big grassed outside area with tables and dogs welcome in the bar where we... More

We are on holiday in the area and saw the recent trip advisor comments. Lovely pub in a pretty little village. We sat outside at lunchtime but decided to move indoors as the wind was quite chilly. We ordered the fish & chips, burger & skinny fries, sausages & mash and I had the cheese & pickle baguette. Food was... More

This is our pub of choice for a Sunday or midweek lunch. The staff are very welcoming and attentive.....selling Harvey's best bitter! The menu and surroundings are traditional but there is nothing traditional about the quality. The food is great and extremely good vale. I would highly recommend the Coach and Horses.
