Much nicer ambiance in this Toby since redecoration and change of seating. Food good as always for quality and choice.

We went to the Toby twice in one week. First time was on the Saturday with our daughter and son-in-law we had a lovely meal and a dessert. On the Wednesday we had lunch with our other son-in-law no dessert this time but again a lovely meal.

Waitresses were nice..rest was disappointing to say the least. The man who cut the meats for the carvery was miserable and the food was all dried out and overcooked. Not impressed at all.

Food, carvery, I went big of course and couldn't eat it all but what I did eat was superb. Didn't get to eat a desert but my daughters devoured them.

Breakfast buffet had everything that you would expect from a cooked breakfast plus a few extras like Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Toast was cook your own in a traditional pop up toaster which was painfully slow and resulted in warm bread rather than actual toast but apart from that no complaints.

Thanks Claire H, thank you for leaving us this response. I would like to apologise about the pop up toaster, unfortunately our normal rotating toaster was not working. I hope this didn't ruin your visit to much! More
