Went to the Albert on Saturday night for a meal with my wife. I had the fish pie which was very dry and a hunk of cabbage with the stork on ( what’s that all about) My wife had the steak and was recommended to...have it medium rear as if you over cook it it becomes chewy and guess what she had it medium rear and it was very chewy. Food used to be really good at the Albert and at a great price. What happed to the days when you would get meat and two veg but now you get meat & one veg and are expected to pay for extras. Total rip-off very sad that the food has gone downhill so won’t be going back there for a long time. Hope the kitchen improves and acts on our reviews.More

One of the tastiest Sunday roasts ever. The staff are super friendly and so accommodating. I highly recommend this location, we were in the garden area, the seating was very comfortable. Will definitely return.

Attended with friends on Sunday during outdoor restrictions. Felt 100% safe, very clean, rules followed, social distancing in place. Lovely staff, amazing food, great service. They even had blankets and hot water bottles available if needed. I would highly recommend. Thank you.More

The most expensive gin and tonic I’ve ever had in London - almost £14! Such a rip off for a roadside pub. The food was quite bland. The staff were lovely and friendly.More

I dined at the Albert on Sunday evening for dinner, however was quite disappointed in my meal. The service was great, can’t fault them at all for that, but the food let the whole experience down. I ordered a roast beef, and being a fussy...eater I asked to not have a lot of the sides, but i still got them anyway. I was informed after i received my meal that there were no Yorkshire puddings left (the best part of a roast!). No one had told me before that there wouldn’t be any. There were no pigs in blankets left, or cauliflower cheese. I ordered a side of stuffing balls but they were quite burnt and tasted nothing like stuffing. My roasted carrots were also black from being so over cooked. I feel as though the quality of the meal was just poor, considering it cost over £50 for a meal and a drink with my partner. Not a place i intend on going back to for a roast at all. The food isn’t as nice as it used to be.More
