Amazing New Year’s Eve meal for 3
The restaurant was busy but we had booked in November as we thought it would be busy.
Great service and food as usual, the tandoori Chicken and lamp chops were brilliant.
Would definitely recommend, the food is always amazing.

As a family of 4 adults we went midweek for the £13 meal deal. What an absolute bargain and the food was of high quality. Starter, main, side and a rice or naan. Staff were on it with service. It wasn’t take your own drinks which is normally a big deal breaker for me when going out for a curry but when the meal deal is this good, I have no objection in paying for alcohol. Highly recommend!

We visited when we were on holiday in the town. It was so good, we went back for a second visit. I had it recommended to me by a doorman working at another establishment in the town - based on his recommendation, he should be a restaurant critic!
The restaurant itself is bright, modern and very inviting. Plus, it seems to be one of the few Indian restaurants in the town with a licenced bar, rather than a 'bring your own alcohol' policy. The food was simply stunning!
The dips that came with the poppadoms included one that we've never had before (didn't ask what it was) and it was fantastic. The mains were cooked to perfection, full of flavours and presented in the way you would expect in a top hotel. And then there was the peshwari naan... When it arrived, I thought the reason it had what looked like a lot of oil on the surface was because it had just come out of the oven. It may well have just come from the oven but it turned out that the 'oil' was in fact, honey. OH...how sweet???
Everything done to perfection including the service - can't rate it highly enough. Would definitely look to go back if we find ourselves in the area again.

The food was excellent but the service from front of house was appalling. We arrived at the restaurant closely followed by a group who were obviously regulars as we were ignored in favour of them and we were only attended to after the regulars had been seated. A simple request to have the poppadoms at the same time as the onion bhajis proved too much for the waiter who couldn't hide his disdain and rudeness from us. The other waiter obviously noticed the lack of customer service being provided and was very attentive to make up for his colleague. Tip.... If you have an obnoxious member of staff, do not put them front of house.. keep them in the background as it ruins what could have been a five star rating as the food was excellent

We were a group of 16 adults on arrival
We asked for the air con to be switched off as it was blowing freezing cold air. After ten minutes this was turned off. All evening the restaurant was freezing cold.
We ordered our food the chicken korma was stone cold as was the rice and the naan bread was lacking flavour definitely not garlic and coriander, my partner ordered a chicken makhani on arrival it had cheese sauce on top we called the waiter over and he said it was cream however clearly it was cheese it even tasted of cheese.
No atmosphere
People in the restaurant were wearing their coats with one customer wearing his woolly hat.
I spoke to the manager at the end of the evening about how cold the restaurant was and he basically called me a liar.
Avoid at all costs. Bad management and bad overall experience.

As a regular customer at Delhi divan Tamworth we decided to try the set menu for 2 which we thought was reasonable for £29 .
Pickles and poppadoms were ok , although we found a Hair in the lime pickle and sent it back .
The starter was adequate for two people ,
But then had to wait for our table to be cleared.
When our main Currie's which was tikka masala and chicken sagwala came out with the kema nann they were barely warm the only thing with the main course that was hot was the aloo gobi which we had to wait for to be bought out.
The restaurant was virtually empty apart from 4 people sitting behind us .
I did complain and was asked if I wanted to have a repeat order to take home to which I said no , if I wanted a takeaway I'd have stayed at home and eat rather than coming out .
The food normally is nice but in all the times we've been it has never been at a constant temperature in my opinion to serve .
Or bill came to £38.15 all we got was sorry
they took nothing off the bill to compensate the cold mains .
The guy serving us made us feel as though they wanted to close as their was virtually empty restaurant.
I will be spending my cash some where else from now on very disappointed and dissatisfied.

A party of eleven us had a booking at this restaurant on Saturday 26/03/2022. Our reservation was for 7pm.
Our party were all seated at our table for the reservation time, we waited to be approached by a server for around 30 minuets, the place was busy so we expected that service might be a little slow.
When a server did eventually turn up, he noticed that there were no menus on the table and did a quick about turn, presumably to get the menus.
Some time later he returned with the menus and asked if we wanted poppadums, to which we said yes please.
The poppadums took another age to arrive, then there was another long wait before someone came to take our orders for the mains.
Other people were coming in after us. but getting served before us.
Our meals eventually started to arrive in staggered lots. I was the last to be served my meal sometime after 9pm when about half of our party had finished their meals.
The chaos continued when we wanted to pay up and leave. People were crowded around the bar waiting to pay while the server added up their bills which could have been done as the orders were taken earlier.
We eventually managed to pay up and make our escape at around 10.15pm.
On this night what we witnessed was a poor execution of management with staff running around aimlessly not knowing which way to turn. I believe that the management over stretched themselves on this night by taking on too many bookings plus takeaways, this resulted in frustrated customers, some of whom complained heatedly with the staff, which in turn made people feel uncomfortable.
I would be reluctant to return to this establishment particularly as some of our party had had a very similar experience at the Alrewas branch of Delhi Divan.

It was nice that our takeaway arrived quicker than expected but the large pieces of pepper and onions were undercooked in each of the different curries so we felt it had perhaps been rushed. The chicken tikka chunks were the same size, shape and tenderness as any other you see. The overall simplicity of each curry's taste and ingredients might suit customers who don't like spice, ginger or complex interesting flavours. The pathia was nicer. The peshwari naans seemed to have very little of the paste/sweetness you might expect but perhaps that's a cost of ingredients thing. The onion bahjees were the tastiest part of the meal, delicious. When phoning in our order we looked at the main website menu and were told someone would call us to confirm the total price but sadly he didn't tell us that the website listed prices are out of date. They must have been very busy as no one rang so when our takeaway arrived the bill was high and I hadn't got sufficient cash for the inflated cost. It then sat waiting, while I embarrassingly had to ring the restaurant to ask if they would accept the money I had. Fortunately they accepted that their website had caused the problem but wouldn't honour the website prices, telling me most had gone up ... thankfully they gave me a small discount of just under £2, so I handed over £40 for three curries, three naan, 2 rice and some broken bits of pappadom and little pots of accompaniements. None of the expected change for me and, as the portions were small, no leftovers for the next day either. (Well, sometimes there are!) I will perhaps try the restaurant for a family meal with children as some reviews suggest it is nice. But perhaps someone needs to update their website so no-one else ends up in the same awkward situation :-)

Went with a large group of friends that had booked a week in advance. Due to the size of the group we were having a mixed buffet rather than individual orders.
After 90 minutes all we had received as a group was a starter that consisted of bland food that probably came out of the freezer.
It was so bad that after over 90 minutes of sitting there while all the rest of the restaurant was being served several of us got up and walked out.

We ordered a take away for delivery, after the 3rd phone call and two and a half hours our food arrived and it was stone cold. We spoke to the manager who said when we next order we could have the same for free as an apology, we phoned tonight to re order and amazingly they have never ordered to us and apparently would never of said a free meal. We would never use again!!!!!

Very disappointed with the response from Delhi Divan today 22/12/20
So we ordered a delivery to home, £24 just for the two of us. We live on the A5, we have a post code and a house number, nothing really too tricky. Oh and we have ordered from DD before. On checking the order update via just eat the status is delivered. It’s not. On phoning we get “we couldn’t find you” take up your refund with just eat....An hour later we are still trying to get through to just eat on their chat app.
All Delhi Divan had to do was call us, email, text us, Whatsapp, hello sir, we can’t find you. Nothing, zip all.
Upon phoning they could of delivered, no
Really shocking, I’m am very surprised with your response

Ordered food off Just Eat 2 and half hours ago, still no sign of the food. Cant ring the restaurant as the phone is off the hook. You would think that if the business is happy enough to offer its service on Just Eat and take paying customers money they would at least deliver the order or phone to explain that they cant process the order due to the circumstances!
So at the moment we are £25 out of pocket and the time is 22:40, we have no clue whether we are going to get a refund, if the delivery is on its on its way or if it has been delivered to the wrong address.
Unacceptable and I would advice customers to stay well away from placing any orders from this restaurant in these current times.

On a Saturday night my family and I were going to have a meal that we booked for six. As soon as we came through the door we were greeted with some of the kind staff that showed us to our table that they had prepared. As soon as we were situated the waiters hastily tended to us and we had our drinks very fast. The food was specially prepared for us as my uncle is good friends with the staff there. It was fantastic hands down the best rice dishes I’ve ever had and all the meat was cooked to perfection. Truly an experience worth discovering.

I went to Delhi divan with my family 2.6.21 we wore our masks until we were seated. Ordered our food. The food is excellent, but I noticed none of the waiters were wearing masks. I asked why and the waiter didn’t know, he said I would have to speak to the manager. It was then my daughter said there was no track and trace details being taken either. I spoke to the manager and he said they are obeying the rules on masks, they don’t have to wear them in this third wave. I asked why there’s no track and trace and he said the same. Utter rubbish. Face covers must be worn by staff in hospitality in any indoor area open to the public, and were they are likely to come into contact with a member of the public, which waiters certainly do. I wonder what other covid rules they are just not bothering with. This is disgusting they obviously have no concerns about the safety of their customers what-so ever. I have also reported this officially 😡
