Muddy Boots and Dogs welcome. Thank you for our lovely meal today! It was rather lovely! However I did have food envy when I saw the tiered plate full of sandwiches and cakes on the table next to us!! Ahhh well I can order them when we come and see you again on our next visit to Porlock!! Thank you... More

The Tea shop was lovely, warm and friendly, homemade cakes and bread! Also Gluten free. Fantastic range/choice of teas and beautiful china tea cups and plates. good personal service and nothing to much trouble. the only mix up was that the soup I had was a chicken curry and I was told it was chicken and vegetable, so just to... Four cream teas served in nice surroundings on a Sunday (when all the others could not be bothered to open). Nice tea and homemade scones, friendly service and nice people!

After a long walk in the hills, through the woodlands and across the moors on a chilly February day we came down into Porlock, cold and tired and in need of a hot drink and something nice to eat. The Victorian Tea Rooms was just perfect. The oldie worldy decor and a wood burning stove created such a warm and... More

We made an unplanned stop here on a misty and murky February day in Porlock. We found the tearooms so beautifully presented. It was a real treat to step in side. The tea we had was so refreshing. We will definitely return. It really was somewhere special.

Went in for my wife to have a cream tea and for me to sample a piece of homemade cake. When you first walk in you cant help but feel you have stepped back in time. The décor and atmosphere was very relaxing and we were given a very warm welcome both from the owner and the lovely open fire.... More

A trip to Porlock was never the same once Jackie and Trevor retired from running thier tea rooms. So sad to see the once busy tables empty and the door closed... Walking past today the door was open and new people have taken on the difficult challenge of living up to the Jackson's. On a cold February afternoon, we popped... More

We visitedMrs Jacksons tea rooms on a cold February Friday afternoon, the lunch was exceedingly good, my husband had omelette and ginger beer and I had poached egg with mushrooms, the welcome was warming as was the log burner roaring away. We would definitely visit again

Out of season on a windy, cold day in February and I was welcomed into this traditional style tea Room with a warm smile. Great welcome with plenty of conversation and, most importantly, the hot chocolate was hot and the apple cake was delicious!!
