Good food, efficient service, nice atmosphere. Good idea to book beforehand as it can get quite busy.

Great tea and coffee great service great food great view of the stone age bridge and the river .bit of a walk from the car park so be warned. But well worth the effort. You can even have a short walk about an hour from 1 side of the river to the other by bridge. Great dog friendly area and... More

Found this place quite by accident on a day out - what a great find. Quirky and quaint. Great food, friendly staff and a great location in a wonderful setting. We had lunch of steak sandwiches (cooked to perfection, slightly pink) and cheesy jumbo chips. Very nice, not greasy, generous portions - good value for money. Will go again to... More

16 Feb After a very nice long walk, taking in the Tarr steps, we decided to stop and have a bite to eat and a pint 😊 The Tarr farm restaurant is rather good and very nice inside, in fact it is nice and cosy with a lovely log fire roaring at one end. Food was good as was the... More

We had enormous scones with Devonshire clotted cream. Service was friendly and polite. The only thing we'd hope for on our next visit would be home-made jam.

What a great place- we went in February- but I couldn't get the app to change it- any way they had a deal on, because it was the end of the shooting season. Really good value watch out for them- none this year I see- but valentines falls in half term- so to be expected. Room was clean, furnishings very... More

Fantastic locally sourced produce, extremely friendly staff who bend over backwards for you. Interesting inventive menu in the most amazing location. Dog friendly, ever changing landscape and most magical setting. Cannot recommend highly enough and every time we visit it never fails to impress. Whether you're visiting in the winter watching the local hunt gallop past or in the summer... More

We stopped in here for lunch after visiting the Tarr Steps and it is a cosy little place with friendly service. We ordered lunch and drinks and the sandwiches were enormous - like doorsteps. The bread was fresh and the ingredients were good quality and generous and there were locally produced drinks (alcoholic and soft) on offer.

We had looked forward to calling into this pub following our walk. We arrived just after 3.00 p.m., "A-board" sign advertised food, including cream teas to 5.00 p.m. I went into the bar which was deserted. I looked around a bit and saw some cake on the bar. After about 15 minutes a young lady appeared and served two gents... More

Great location, good ale, dog friendly, steak and onion sandwiches very good so a lot of boxes ticked. Service was a little slow and with no disrespect not the friendliest I have ever encountered! If in the area and visiting the Tarr steps worth a call in for a quick bite and a drink.
