Never trust a village inn with a huge choice of dishes on the menu unless you want convenience food which won't offend or delight you. Another warning sign was that there is more choice of gins than hand puled beer. That said, we had no complaints about the service or the food. It fitted the bill exactly. A place to... More

party of 6 including grandparents and children visited and were pleasantly surprised by the range of choice and quality. Was not 'chain like'. service was excellent and food arrived piping hot and everyone enjoyed their choice. Only disappointment was the Eton Mess sundae which said strawberries. There was one chopped in half!

An good place to meet , eat and talk with friends. Staff understood our dual purpose (to eat and talk!) Good food prepared with perfect timing. Take care if you use the car park, across the road.

The food was good although the accompanying vegetables could have been better. Choice of menu could have been bigger. The waitress was very friendly.

We have been here a few times now as we travel down from London just to get away. Every time we come here for lunch we have been impressed. The staff are super friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. Price wise is very good. Can't wait until the next time.

Visited here on a very busy Saturday evening, but both the food and service was faultless. A beautiful pub on the river with some great views. The mixed grill was lovely, and they have a good range of food for vegetarians which my partners is. Overall a very good meal, at a very reasonable price, can't wait to return when... More

I'll give the lady that served me the benefit of the doubt. I arrived on one of the sunniest Sundays of the year so far, towards the end of what had probably been a very busy shift. I felt that my questions were irritating her. Beef Sunday roast wasn't very warm, veggies overcooked and didn't warrant the price tag. There... More

This is becoming our semi-regular dinner place. Good food and drink in a very pleasant pub. We had the Black Angus fillet steak, which was served as requested and was delicious.
