Called for lunch and found the restaurant very quite. Ordered small scampi and husband fish and chips. They arrived on a plate with a piece of paper resembling a newspaper. There was a small bowl of garden peas with it, which you had to tip...More

Beautiful food and friendly staff. The drinks are a little more expensive but not massively so. I enjoyed the quiz night, lots of banter felt like a group of friends getting togethe

This pub has one of the most extensive menus in the area. The food was excellent, staff friendly and the meal was served very quickly especially considering the restaurant was full--would recommend booking for dinner especially at weekends

Visited twice for Sunday Roast and a mixed grill. The brownie pudding was the best I have had! Reasonable prices for the quality of food. Both were fantastic and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. I really appreciate how you can bring dogs into the bar...More

Description
We are a traditional English country pub that nestles next to the river coquet in northumberland. Our food is a mix of bar and restaurant, and we try and source as much as possible from local suppliers.
