Called here for a swift half and to view the menu for the evening. The landlord was friendly and helpful, the choice of food was good so I booked for dinner in the bar, which was fortunate as it got very busy for a Tuesday...More

One of the three pubs on Holy Island all of which served food until 8 pm. Delicious local beer, a crayfish salad to start and a basket of deep fried fish and seafood for mains. Tasty and decent quality and no complaints about quantity

We stayed here for a couple of nights to explore the island we’d first visited 28 years ago. The food was amazing, the bed was extremely comfortable and we experienced a warm friendly welcome.

I was meeting a chap I had not seen for 35 years, as he had moved to Lindisfarne, and he recommended the Ship for lunch. Friendly, prompt service. Menu adequate. Attractive interior. Soup (mine), crab sandwiches (wife), and fish and chips (friend) all very good.

We stopped for a drink while exploring Holy Island. Good range of craft beers and lots of nautical history. Free WiFi. We did not eat. Friendly staff.

Massive fresh haddock served in a crispy batter, with great chips. Make sure though you reserve a table as we watched several people being turned away, as it was busy.

We came here for dinner two nights running, and had two excellent meals. It's also wonderfully warm and cosy after a day's walking! My wife's fillet of sea bass was apparently among the best main courses she's ever had. From the menu I get the...More

For starters I had deep fried camembert which was nice enough although could well have been warmed in a microwave rather than deep fried to order. For main I had a steak and ale pie which again was pleasant but had insufficient gravy to moisten...More
