We stopped here for lunch after having been to Lindesfarne. It was relatively busy and there only seemed to be one person serving. At some point later another waitress appeared from somewhere but service didn't get better. It took a while for food to come. We had ordered two different burgers and she plonked them down in front of us.... More

Good food, large portions, friendly service - a little bit disorganised on bringing food out together for the whole table but very apologetic

Great food with pleasant helpful waitresses. Sunday options as usual a bit limited so I went for the fish and chips which was potentially the best I ever had and I have had a lot. A little pricey perhaps.

We were well pleased with all we ate/drank. The kindness of the staff was exceptional. My one complaint, residents do not have the opportunity to book it so have the choice of leaving dogs in cars, rooms or, if no seats, not eating!

We stayed in Bamburgh for two nights and ate hear on our first night and were not disappointed. You can have a drink in the bar first which we did and then ate in the main restaurant. Extensive menu with good choice of seafood, meats, burgers and many other choices. Two of us had the seafood platter with a few... More

First night in Bamburgh so we nipped in for a quick drink as it's dog friendly. Ended up eating (with a few more drinks), good burger and fish and chips. Lovely member of staff even got the dog some chews. Not haut cuisine by any means, but good honest, garage food. Good beer too.

Staying in Bamburgh this year we were able to use the Vic as more than just a lunch stop. In fact it was that good we went 5 times in two weeks with different sets of friends and family. They too liked it that much that they requested to go back again even though they only had 3 nights each... More
