Perfect setting for a unique and romantic lunch or dinner. The novelty of the treehouse itself is probably better than the actual dining experience. We went for Sunday lunch, the main was lovely, however we hit a bit of a bump in the road when we were served our cold sticky toffee puddings, which resembled a messy apple crumble. The... More

Book well in advance and visit for a special occasion. This place is beautiful romantic and charming. The menu is small but perfectly formed. The food is very good, well presented and fairly priced. The serving staff are professional but friendly. I live in London but if I lived locally I would certainly visit more often.

I was invited to the restaurant for a business meeting by a client and I have to say I was totally taking back by the whole experience. The restaurant was so unique and beautiful and the service was outstanding. I was greeted at the door by a gentleman called Chris who immediately took myself and my clients jackets. He was... More

Very quirky interior, literally an enormous treehouse with branches inside and rustic dining furniture. Even the menus are wooden! Food was better than we expected, it was of a high standard and the service was good. Fishcakes were excellent and the pork we chose for the mains was well cooked and presented to a high standard too. I booked a... More

Wonderful food, wonderful setting. Booked the Friday night of a weekend in Alnwick with a friend and had the most marvellous time. The three course meal was worth every penny, and the setting was beautiful. We will definitely go there again when we next visit Alnwick

Booked a couple of months in advance and paid £10 a head deposit. We were excited for a 'different experience'. 5 of us for my birthday meal. Ambience and restaurant stunning. Service left a lot to be desired. Waitress attentive to begin with until another table of 5 were seated next to us. She gushed and fawned over these people... More

We came for lunch ( would definitely recommend that you book well in advance because this wonderful place is very popular) and the choices on the fixed price lunch menu, for 2 or 3 courses was very reasonable especially as the food was beautifully served, cooked and obviously made with top quality ingredients. When you first set eyes on this... More

Incredibly strange experience, we’ve dined in a tree house! All be it a big one. Fantastic restaurant which despite having watched it on TV still managed to impress with its location alone. The food (Oysters, Rack of lamb, Stone Bass, Panacotta, Crumble) lived up to expectations and was served by some of the friendliest staff you could ever wish to... More

If you are in Northumbria try the Tree House Restaurant, situated in the grounds of Alnwick Gardens. A truly unique restaurant literally built in the trees. The food is not cheap but superb, the staff are very helpful and friendly. A word of advice though, make sure you book in advance as it is very popular. There is an excellent... More

Description
The Treehouse is one of the most magical and unique restaurants to be found anywhere in the world. It’s high up in the treetops, with a roaring log fire in the centre of the room and trees growing through the floor. Most importantly, the locally-inspired food is delicious. Always featuring local fish and seafood, meats from Northumberland’s farmlands and other regional specialities, the Treehouse Restaurant menus highlight local quality, taste and change throughout the seasons. There’s a great wine list, a good range of beers and regular live music. For a family dining experience that you’ll all enjoy, a great night out with friends or a romantic dinner for two, there’s nowhere quite like it. We always recommend booking ahead for lunch or dinner.
