This is an average pub that is in need of modernisation, the usual chain pub, not much character, average beer, nothing to write home about.

Lovely friendly pub with an on fire. Reasonably priced. Visited on karaoke night (which we'd normally avoid like the plague), but there were a few good singers.

Called in for a meal 1st night. Basic but well cooked usual pub grub menu. Friendly staff. Toilets could do with upgrading/ cleaning
Didn't have a meal, although there is a good selection of cask beers. The pub is nice and warm with a real coal fire and the Sunday Quiz is not to be missed.
We stopped off here as we saw food was being served. Upon entering we were greeted with a very sullen faced barman. We even struggled to get a hello out of him. Ordered food, had drink with food and left. Not much more to say...More
