Impressed that they stock some local beers on tap as well as the beautiful Hepple gin! Didn't eat here so can't recommend the food but we came back a second night for a drink during our week's holiday so must have been good!

The pub looks nice from the outside but was cold inside. The pub was painfully out of stock of most drinks - from lager on tap to Coke, and some food. We ordered two sandwiches which took half an hour and arrived with over cooked chips and stale bread. Would we return..... definitely not.

Absolutely amazing Sunday Carvery, certainly worth a drop in if you're in the area or travelling up the A1 as it not that far away and has good parking nearby!

We stayed here to get a jump on alnwick castle. Our king room was two twins pushed together. It's a little smelly. We had to enter behind the pub and climb the fire escape. We decided to just carry our overnight things in a grocery bag rather than attempt the climb w our suitcases. The entrance is not well lit... More

Fantastic food, great prices friendly bar staff, nice atmosphere. Despite being quite busy the wait for our food wasn't long at all. Really enjoyed our 1st meal here and will definitely visit again.
