We ate there Saturday 23 Oct, 4 people, had starters, very nice, Main courses..really nice, deserts excellent, couple bottles wine. Ambiance lovely, staff lovely , service excellent…. ONLY 1 Issue, got a large cheeseboard, it was £18.00 and it was very POOR, with tiny pieces...of cheese, only 1 type of cracker. Not worth £9.00 let alone £18.00 So many good things to report BUT the cheeseboard was very disappointing indeed.More

7 of us were staying at the nearby Crathorne Hall Hotel, for a team away day and decided to have dinner here, what a great decision. Good selection of beers, superb service and wonderful food. Double baked cheese soufflé to start, followed by rabbit and...black pudding pie, with a suet pastry - absolute pub food heaven!More

Had three course lunch with my husband. Excellent menu fabulous food. Had the seafood pancake which was a delight. Husband had the black pudding with Pease pudding and red cabbage which he said was delicious. Both had the beef which melted in the mouth. Had...sticky toffee pudding and husband had the ice cream with honeycombe and chocolate sauce. Couldn't fault the food. Staff were pleasant, efficient and professional. Would recommend will be returning.More

We visited here for my Dads 90th birthday last night, such a lovely place and atmosphere. A warm greeting when we arrived from both the staff and owner and a lovely table setting for the five of us. The service was great and all dining...options explained to us. The food was amazing and full of flavour, everyone loved their meals. We will definitely make a return visit in the future. Excellent.Thank you.More

Have been here a few times now, and returned last night to celebrate my birthday. We were greeted immediately by Eugenie and shown to our table. Unfortunately we then had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to the table to ask if we...wanted a drink or to deliver a menu. Two girls were stood near to kitchen door for the 15 minutes with two plates of starters waiting for the table behind us to be seated, (3 people and nowhere in sight) these plates eventually went to the empty table and then minutes later returned back to the kitchen. The party behind eventually arrived and their starters served. We were then offered the menu. The food was up to the usual standard, so no complaints there. Girls were pleasant but just need to be a bit more aware of their customersMore

Recently moved to the area and tried this because we used to frequent The Tontine back in the day. Wasn’t disappointed. Staff are young, energetic, friendly and efficient. The food is lovely…have been back three times now within a few weeks it’s so good. Something...for everybody. Pricing is spot on and the restaurant is relaxed, informal and it’s the perfect setting for Sunday lunch. Can’t fault it.More

I’m very, very surprised if this is the case. Did you complain to the staff? As the inspection was December the problems should have been rectified by now
